It’s practically hypoallergenic. But PPD (paraphenylenediamine)is highly allergic. So sorry you had a reaction Tina! I learned all this in cosmetology school, but didn’t really know how had it was until I became allergic! Whole scalp flared up into a swollen weepy mess. Hope the swelling & irritation went down quickly for you. You did the right thing starting with an antihistamine, that’s all you can do at home.

I have been using it since this summer without any problems, and it works great for me. I have dark brown hair and brows, but I took their recommendation and went one shade lighter to medium brown, was glad I did. Best part is it only cost about $10 and you can get many applications from one kit because you just need a little each time!

Tina, I am so sorry this happened to you. As Jusya UK below said, its the PPD. Here are the bad ingredients from the label: ...Para-aminophenol, Para-phenylenediamine... (not their spelling). Please ALWAYS do an allergy patch test before trying such products and wait at least two days to see if you have an allergic reaction. You brushed your brows before using, abrading the skin. I would have washed my whole face with shampoo. There is no pure henna that is black. As others have said, you could go to Ulta for a brow tint. I have used Just for Men beard dye without any reaction, but I patch tested first. Hope you had a great trip!

She was awesome, and I tried a few things based on her recommendations. Like you, I have naturally full brows, so waxing is all I need for maintenance. Filling in brows is just for extra glam, not necessarily needed.

I was looking up tint brows bc I just recently booked a microshading session which is permanent😮!!! Plus a tattoo so I'm like you hate needles and pain tolerance is low. I may have to forfeit on my deposit and rethink this situation. I asked myself why I never looked into eyebrow tinting and I guess everything has risk.....hopefully my procedure goes well
I was scared for you at the beginning of the video. Real BAQ (body art quantity) henna is pure henna and is naturally red. Any other henna “color” means additives have been added to it. I’m glad the reaction didn’t get worse than it did. ❤️

Sad to say but any henna color that's not the natural reddish color is not real henna. Black "henna" in particular can be very dangerous. I wouldn't use that for your grays either.

Just for Men beard dye is what I use. Takes 5 minutes. Do it on the weekend so if you coloured outside the lines the staining will fade before Monday.
