Thanks for making this video. My grandfather, Kenneth Cleworth, was a cousin of Eric Cleworth. We knew Eric was an animator for Disney, but our family did not know any details.

Since he worked on so many action sequences under Woolie Reitherman's animation supervision or later direction, maybe he worked on similar sequences as an assistant animator before "Peter Pan" - for example, the Headless Horseman chase from "Ichabod & Mr Toad"?
@@Dizographies I don't know if you have J.B. Kaufman's books on "Snow White" and "Pinocchio", but in the animator breakdowns they often include who the animators' assistants were. Therefore we know that the animal animators from "Pinocchio" who worked under Eric Larson (Don Lusk, Jack Bradbury, Lynn Karp, Murray McClellan) had been the assistants of the animal animators from "Snow White" (Larson himself, Milt Kahl, James Algar, Bernard Garbutt).
I hadn't heard of him either, but i got a suggestion to do an episode on him and I'm so glad I did. Now I have a few more obscure animators on my list that I'm going to do within the next few months, I cant wait :D
Great video, thanks! Where can I find some script drafts? I've had no luck googling for them. I'm particularly interested in learning about the creators behind iconic scenes in old classic animated features...

As a suggestion, NOT a request, can you do Hans Conried and I’m not being rude, but don’t forget to include his never-before work on Sleeping Beauty as the uncredited voice of the announcing Duke called Lord Duke (since Duke’s higher pitched British accent kinda sounds like Hook) and the model reference (NOT voice) of King Stefan in which Taylor Holmes got the voice role instead for his final film role, Captain Hook and Mr. Darling in Peter Pan, Thomas Jefferson in Ben and Me, and a prosectuor in The Story of Anyburg USA.

He was a very talented animator imo! Crafted many important scenes from so many impactful films from our childhoods :)

Actually have never heard of him but apparently responsible for a lot of great scenes in the classic Disney films. Thank you for enlightening me.
