- This video explains an alternative method for connectors modeling in abaqus, this method uses fasteners option available in the software allowing for non physical modelling of screws, the example shows the application of this fasteners option to connect between the individual parts of cold formed steel built-up section.

u know in a lot of papers they used "tie constrains" & "DOF coupling method" instead to model the self drilling screws,
i'll compare the results in my next model to see the difference between modeling direct fastener like what u did & the other techniques.
if u have an idea beteeen the difference between them i'd be gratefull.

It will be more intersting to compare the FEA results with tests, to see which method gives the more accurate results in your specific case
