Pa Segun Ogundele is an 86 year old man who knew the very struggling early years of Sunny Ade. His memory is still intact and he obviously has had his fair share of life beatings.
Baba's mind is incredibly sharp at this age. I'm so impressed.
Please Mr. Adeyanju; when interviewing such elderly individuals, make room water available.

Did you hear Baba Segun Ogundele say he doesn't want to talk about a late musician because the musician wont be able to defend himself. That is the hallmark of an honest person, who is recounting his experience unapologetically. I am not here to castigate KSA, and I dont think that was Baba's intention too. KSA is still alive, he can defend himself. Baba is not even claiming to be a saint. Agbaletu, again, you are amazing, thank you!
King Sunny Ade should make peace with this Man. If possible compensate him and make him happy.
that`s the beauty of baba`s personality . he owns up to his misdeed which made me deduced 90% of what baba is true. i really pity baba with the way he helped many he coulldnt reap where he sown. may God send divine helper is way that`s wipe away his tears to enjoy the remain of of his life.
KSA needs to proof his kindness to this man. He has nothing to loose but more to gain in the sight of God. It's disheartening to hear this kind of stories about him considering how God had blessed him. KSA over to you!
I remember listening to your interview with Pa Ogundele some two years ago and everything he said in that interview is consistent with what he's saying now. The level of his memory is quite remarkable considering his age.

In life, its not good to be greedy, nor bite the fingers that fed you, Pa Ogundele went the extra mile to support KSA music career both physically and spiritually, at the end of the day, no one is willing to support his wellbeing, Thank you AGBALETU for bringing Pa Segun Ogundele.

It is sad to see the famous and renowned Baba Ogundele reduced to this level while his protege KSA continues to enjoy a life of stardom and financial affluence without reaching out to Baba. Yes, it'll be good to hear Sunny's side of the story but he is always elusive to tell it. He dislikes confrontation. Also, you need to realise that so many of these elderly people who spoke independently of their own experiences with him can't all be wrong. Like Commander Obey, KSA should come out as a man and set the record straight as he remembers them; and make peace with these people who helped elevate him to who he is today. But I doubt he would. Agbaletu will tell you how much they've tried to to get him to talk without joy.
The old man is only sharing his experiences, with us. Why are judging him. Let KSA come out to say contrary. Dele, i dont know how you know this much, about music. God increase your wisdom. Keep up the good work

As much as I love Sunny Ade's music, it's sad that only few people among his band members and friends have spoken well of him.
Sunny should tell us his side. If not, he will be remembered for what these people said about him.
Sunny won't tell his side of the stories because he knows he took advantage of many people and he is afraid of reputational damage; hence he is always elusive to provide interviews. He is a good man but normally only when it serves his interest.

The gynecologist baba was talking about was Prof Bello-Osagie who was a personal gynecologist to the who is who in Nigeria. Prof Bello-Osagie was the one who delivered General Gowon's first child by his wife, Victoria Gowon.
How many people will KSA respond to for God’s sake. Maybe he should build a village to put everyone one in, a man that is almost 80, yet works every weekend, people should cut him some slack. He is just one man!!!
Its laughable that everyone that has crossed KSA's path feels entitled, yet the man himself continues to grind every day to remain relevant and prosperous. How many people do well structured organizations make rich by virtue of working for or with them?

I don’t think we should drag KSA into this. They separated about 45 years ago and then Sunny was having issues with Abioro. KSA is still working hard , it’s not like he got rich back in those days. Sorry for the old man, but please leave KSA alone for goodness sake

Music is a very controversial and powerful industry. Unfortunately , Nigeria music industry has lost a lot of people who were part of these controversies and history.

@agbaletu tv,pls you need to interview Baba Ogundele again. We need more information about the days of rivalry between Sunny and Obey. Except few references from their Band members the two musical giants don't talk about it. Looking at the body language of Chief Commander in your interviews its as if its a no-go area. Baba brushed it aside too here! Why is it shrouded in secrecy unlike the Emperor Pick Peters and Dele Abiodun who came out to talk about their past musical FRACAS?

Fear human being. All that this baba said is too deep to air a top secret in someones life. Agba maa forosikun ni. he can still communicate his mind in different form. For him to have gone and come back to Sunny 3 times portend that something sweet was between them. Agbaletu's interview will not be complete without hearing from sunny Ade on this matter. i feel so disappointed. With man, no secret at all. its a great lesson.

I'm a Pharmacist. I've witnessed a similar scenario. His wife had a fibroid. The Dr. Osagie should have been upfront with him and his wife. The longer the Fibroid remains unremoved, the larger it becomes.

Agbaletu please can you trace the Bass guitarists of those day when it comes to Juju music because the moment they start to thrump on the chords it seems or sound like a spell . Where are those guys today, may be we can learn something from them.

@@remiremmy8930 The literal translation of what he said was that his parents were so poor that in primary 4 he was already doing hard labour to fend for himself. You will see that when he built his house at the age of 20, he moved his parents in with him. The man is almost 86, if you speak to people in that age bracket, the word 'ilari' refers to wealth or lack of it. Words change in meaning. In my generation, the word 'ajebutter' meant 'suegbe' but the meaning is different now. Pls. forgive him. He meant no harm. Just change in meaning of words over time.

Time goes so fast. When a young Man is able to work, don't squander the money, especially if you work in the private sector with no meaningful pension. Invest in your future and pray that you have good children or relations to stay with you when you are old. What a life!...however, I now know the reason for the song - "E kilo f'Omo Ode, koma rin nipado/konko jabele, kaluku lo nse tie". Uhhhhmmm☺🥲
