    I'm actually considering getting g this for our red footed tortoise's enclosure, as her current humidifier is on its last leg.
    Thank you for the in depth video!

    I really appreciate this video!! I’m looking to upgrade my enclosure so I’m going to need a misting system and all of the decent ones I have found are over $200. This has definitely relieved some stress. I appreciate the info and will def sub

    Another great video! I am setting up for a crested gecko and have been looking at the mist king. I like that this one has a reservoir already.
    Do you have any opinions on the mist king or how this one would compare?

    • @ChiefSweetsUniverse
      @ChiefSweetsUniverse  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Appreciate it a lot! The mist king and this repti zoo one work exactly the same however the mist king has better programming time than the repti zoo that’s really the only thing that sets them apart

    gonna setup this for my tegu. It's so annoying how fast the substrate gets dry. Just couple hours & it's needing misting again, so hopefully this thing does the trick!

      One thing I do is lay leaves on the substrate it traps humidity very well

    • @Near2Future
      @Near2Future ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ChiefSweetsUniverse I did have leaves but I found Forrest floor to work better. Can’t have with live plants tho, imaa try this or something like it. Think it’ll keep everything much more manageable just with high temps. It’s easy to get dry & then hard for the soil to absorb the water. Making me having to flip & toss the substrate every week. Which is a pain in the ass for a 6ft tank & 12in of soil.

    What would you set the pressure, time, and duration settings to for chameleons crested geckos and tree frogs

    I like this and it seems like a good fit for my ball pythons, however the biggest complaint Ive seen is the timer tends to give out after some time. Just curious if yours is still running strong and if so how long youve had it in total?

    • @ChiefSweetsUniverse
      @ChiefSweetsUniverse  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      One stil works but sometimes the water will leak out the nozzles that started like 6 months in. That’s the only issue I have. Like be a constant drip. Which is weird

    This doesn't mention the black plug on the water inlet which won't come off and prevents me from inserting the copper filter head. It's not budging at all and feels like I'm going to break it if I keep pulling, and if I twist it nothing changes

    im a bit late, but would there be a way to calculate the needed settings for 50% humidity etc?

    • @utopiacore3978
      @utopiacore3978 17 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Get yourself a a humidity gauge and experiment. Unfortunately it’s completely impossible to calculate in the same way something like calculating lumens/PAR needed or how many substrate bags. This is because everyone uses different substrates, different amounts and types of plants, different sizes, and honestly even different cage qualities. All will affect the humidity.
      Pick a day where you’re home all day and set it on “zero” at first so it’s “always on.” Wait til your enclosure is soaked the way you want it to be, then turn it off. Now walk away for an hour and come back. If it’s not below 50%, wait another hour. Repeat until it’s below 50% then turn on the settings on “zero” again til it’s soaked once more. Do this the entire day and you will know the duration you need it to spray and the spray frequency. 👍

    I'm looking for a product that can simulate a morning dew for my Arid Bioactive setup.. I would prefer it to go off for "X" number of minutes at a specific time just before the lights go on.. Can this be set to go off at a specific time schedule or is it just mindlessly running the program schedule based on when it was powered on?

    • @ChiefSweetsUniverse
      @ChiefSweetsUniverse  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I would try and find another one that can be programmed at a specific time in the morning. They have some now that can be digitally set and synced with your phone

    Hey! Great video as always!
    I have a question tho if you don't mind.
    I got a uro and I currently put his enclosure in the sun and I'm not using any bulbs at the moment. What do you recommend, continue to put his enclosure in the sun and when winter comes, put in a heat bulb (it gets hot in the summer where I live) or should I put both uv and heat bulbs from now ?

    • @ChiefSweetsUniverse
      @ChiefSweetsUniverse  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If it’s outside I can see you swinging it but if it’s inside the house 100% put the heat bulb and uv in there

  • @bearsstuff

    So is it an always on system? You can't schedule mistings or tie it to a hygrometer to keep the humidity up?

    • @ChiefSweetsUniverse

      It is an always on system. The only way to schedule mistings is with the hourly dial but you might be able to tie it in to a hygrometer I don’t have one so I couldn’t tell you that.
