I lost my nenek and my uncle this year, They were both Melenau. I planned on coming back to Kuching to see them and practice (I'm from Australia).
This made me instantly miss them so much.

just had a recent travelling trip to mukah. as the locals tease me, "if u're single when coming to mukah u might be considering to date a local & it will not take long to consider living in mukah for good"
& i am already having thoughts now lol
it's a very comfy place to live

Language is part of the culture.To preserve Melanau's culture, its language must be preserved and maintained for future generations.
Similar to Iban Language, we suggest that Melanau Language should be taught in schools in Sarawak. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
If you lost this unique Melanau language you lost the identity of Melanau. 😢
