A very nervous Katie not long after she came on the scene on stage with a couple of her heros . A nice version , would be interesting to hear her sing it now that she has a few more years under her belt . Nice .
I get that the commentors know their music, and yeah it's all about the feeling and this may not be perfect, but I did a cover of this song on TH-cam, just out of utter love for rock n roll ;-) and I think this is a damnn good job..I'm humbled!

We all know that nobody gives the messure of Freddie's voice,so i ask: why didn't Brian and Roger sing instead of this chick,or Paul Rodgers,or anyone else? They sang in all Queen's albums. They're not Freddie either,but they are original Queen members.
She sings beautiful, good voice and performance. No mistakes. But, she´s kind of boring... the only song I heard she singing that wasn´t that boring was de Love Cats, with Jammie Cullun.

katie melua's favourite group must be queen... she had crush on freddie when she was teenager and her 3 favourite songs are from queen... it's good that she performs with them

great version by the lovely katie melua but did you see the song alright now on this show it sucked roger taylor was so weak on this show it always seems to me roger seems to play weak on outdoor gigs fare dos on this song as its a soft love song anyway but roger please rock out more on your kit like ya did in ya old days more on the outdoor gigs plz brian you still rock m8 rock on : )

I find her performance very affected and there's just no power in her voice which makes it very quavery a lot of the time. Controlled vibrato can sound fantastic but this just doesn't cut it in my opinion.
She makes a good attempt but really this is a song for a powerful voice, and Katie sings very gently. My favorite version is Brian's... Freddie's is good but it makes me sad to listen to it because you can hear in his voice how ill he is at that stage.
I was going to disagree, but when putting two acts together, I would say Brian and Adrea Corr and Katie with Jammie Cullum better balance and music just an idea
Far from perfect, but still good. The pressure of being at a charity bowl or whatever always makes things more difficult, less spontaneous because it is already expected, the goal is clear, there's no room for surprising turns. It just has to be good and that's it. Very demanding venue.
I don't know, but I hate this version. I just cannot listen to the way she sings. Probably something wrong with my hearing, judging from how much she is loved, but I just don't like her voice at all. I definitely prefer the original!
