Great W coach!! Championship defensive play against a great Louisville offense. ND offense had a lot of grit and made the plays ! I’m very happy for this team!
I wouldn't say championship defensive play, Secondary looks poor at times which was shocking, but a win is a win
@GavinSchmavin44 they were down 2 of their top 3 CBs from last week and had to start a true freshman. He looked pretty good and the only plays they made, they had to make amazing catches. That was a very talented offense.

Freeman looked tired. Pressure leading to joy in the first half and then relief that he survived the 2nd half. He understood fully how important this game was. Now, he has more player injuries to deal with, which only makes things more difficult. So much for the strength and conditioning coach helping ND avoid injuries. That's not fair, but the Irish are banged up this year. Just have to keep on keeping on Coach. You have what it takes.

He’s wrong; they were “lights out” in the first QUARTER, not the first HALF. They were awful in the second quarter.
The bad: Leonard is insufficient as a passer. No deep playoff run with this level of passing. The O Line is understandably weak, given the injuries, but it is not playoff worthy, either, at the moment.
The Good: UL scored on two short field touchdowns and needed three great catches to score its TDs. UL also needed the kicker to make a 56 yarder to get within one score. And that drive started with excellent field position. UL needed all that to make this a close game. That ND defense is very very good.

I've realized that I watch these games with too much emotion and cant actually appreciate the good things and focus on the bad too often.
Screens, Seams, slants. Coach Denbrock. Hope you are reading. It’s not that hard. You found two screens today to your rb’s. Hopefully as the season progresses you can find the seams and slants. Get the receivers running north and south.

Leonard was finding the open receivers and connected with them. There were just a couple off-line throws. Looks like you can throw it on 1st or 2nd down more if he's connecting like he was. 3 points gifted at the end after not converting on 4th down. Punt it away there and make them drive the full field when you've been shutting them down all day and have a 2 possession lead. Bad punt gave another short field for their final drive. Good win, not great.

ND fan. After watching the 2nd half of the Georgia/ Alabama game, you have to admit they’re playing a different game. Not even close. Go Irish.
Ik they just play so organized and so fast it’s crazy, notre dames only hope is there defense (also a ND fan)

I was impressed by Louisville and can see them giving a lot of teams problems. But yes, ND has a ways to go. My hopes for the season were dashed with the NIU loss, which I put on the coaches. Still I am optimistic for this program. The younger players really have looked good. That's my glass half-full perspective, lol.
