Would this be a good choice with 2 Era-100's?

That’s exactly what I got it for and I feel it makes it a complete music listening experience. Well worth it to combine with two Era 100s.

Thanks for a great review. It was very interesting to hear you infer that the Ray + SM < a SONOS Beam. I was seriously thinking about that type of setup for my study, but will rethink my options now.
Was going to get a Ray, two ONE SLS and a SM, but will rethink it.
    Cheers.

It's exactly what i have. Started with the stereo pair, added the ray, then then the mini sub. For me every addition was a big step forward.
Last time I had a sub, looong time ago, it was all about in your face boom blasts. The mini sub is far more subtle, yet a lot better 🙂 Movies + Apple Music sound a lot better.

ok this is where i am at...wanting to get into the SONOS ecosystem My room is 12x14 feet with 7.5 foot ceiling / i watch alot of sports , news channels , movies i do not listen to music on my system i use bluetooth speakers alone my thoughts are what would work for my situation ? BEAM 2 + SUB MINI + ERA 100's would this setup be more than ample ? or would i need to go ARC ULTRA + SUB MINI or GEN 4 SUB + ERA 100's ( not really interested in getting the ERA 300's ) need help , what is your opinion thx cheers from Canada

Have a Sonos beam gen 2. Would you recommend the sub mini or one of the new era products to compliment it?

    • @A2KMedia
      @A2KMedia  ปีที่แล้ว +1

depends what you are missing, if you want mor e base then sub mini if you want more spacial sound then the new era or even 2nd hand sonos ones

    • @Kaniac47

I have a beam 2, sub mini and an Era 300 (with a second 300 on the way). I got the 300 first then the sub mini, but in retrospect I would have gotten the sub mini and then the 300. The sub mini really complements the beam and as he said in the video, it allows the beam to focus on the mids and highs while the sub handles all of the bass. The sub mini makes the beam sound even better.
The 300 is also an amazing speaker, but if it comes down to which one to pair first with the beam, I would suggest the sub mini and then the 300.

    • @A2KMedia

Depending on what you are lacking. I personally would prefer the sub as it does really add to the sound, but arc is also really nice :)

    • @A2KMedia

so... vibrations themselves you actually don't want from the device as that will negatively affect sound quality but the sub is powerfull enouh for you to feel it

You can only add one sub mini to the Arc. The Gen 3 Sub will fill a large space better; while, the sub mini is perfect for small/med spaces. You have the option to add a second larger sub if one of them is a Gen 3 Sub.

I got the Beam, 2 one SLs and the Move for 50% off thanks to a friend who works at the company. I think the equipment is great for the price point I got it at. If I had a bigger living room I'd get the Sub, but that'd be overkill.

@@JM1675 Yeah that makes the difference getting % off instead of having to pay the full overkilled price. Can't blame you there. But again, I just don't think it is worth it. I think they are just being cocky, they they they are the best but they are not. If anything is the best it is BOSE but they are too expensive for my taste though. Unfortunately. :(

    • @JM1675

@@darillfow It's a closed ecosystem that focuses on convenience and connectivity, much like Apple. It's definitely not up there with Bose in terms of performance, but when you come from TV speakers or a low grade sound system you will definitely notice the difference in quality. But yeah, the price includes branding, marketing and hype of course.
