Dremel out space for the pliers is great. There's nothing worse than showing up to fish a creek and realize you forgot your pliers. I love the bootleg vise also. These videos are always fun to watch. Thanks.
Loved that light and plastic jug hack to diffuse the light... that would be really useful during power outages to light up a room. Still LMAO... you were at the top of your game in the humor department in this one.
At 2:05 I had sweet tea come out my nose from trying not to spit it out on my wife's new sofa, I will not be drinking or eating anything the next time you put out a video. That was the funniest thing I've heard in a long time. I always look forward to your videos, you do a awesome job.
I commented about fixing the leg of my glasses with shrink wrap! Well It was more comfortable on that side so I did the other side! And I am happy I did! Us older fisherman need to see to tie hooks and stuff so I wanted to share this not just as a quick fix but also for the comfort!; Keith for President and Cranky VP😊
My wife bought some metal clothes pins somewhere. They have a strong spring. I screwed one on a piece of wood and added a base to it. It makes a fantastic vise for tying gigs.
7:18 I would be one of the caving grotto members who led the Boyscouts and other groups for their service projects, and I literally kept a dozen brand new HF headlamps in a box to avoid sharing the critters, but most members just had loner lamps. I was one of the few who DIDN'T have a problem with them! One member was banned from taking groups when he gave them all lice! Good times! LOL
10:25 those HFT Pittsburg side cutters are great for nipping off the sharp parts of zip ties. We also use them exclusively on out dogs’ nails. Then round the nail over with the Braun dremel tool. We have those side cutters all over the place. In all 4 trucks and toolboxes. Probably a dozen or more. Handy Handy!!!
Those Pittsburgh cutters are decent Keith, I used a pair to cut out an old emergency brake cable that was all rusted and nasty on a car I was working on, yeah I put a new cable on!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
BEST ever! You are our favorite! My sister and I are still laughing! You never disappoint in the humor department. Love the headlamp and jug hack...now that's awesome!
Love the fly vise! Have used jug lantern trick, works good! Clear or white funnel, on top of a flashlight works well ( be careful of heat from flashlight, not all lights created equal, some get super hot) Thanks for your ideas😊
Great video. I liked to funny additions to put in thar. you know what I mean. Thanks for all the great videos you show. Look forward to each one and...I have used quite a few of the ideas. My wife would say..."What are you into now?"
I just recently got into fishing, and I work at HF part time so I'm always there (shopping while I'm working lol). Appreciate these hack videos you do!
Hey Keith great hacks. For fly tieing vice look up helping hands soldering and neiko has one for 11 cover clips in shrink tube quick easy fly tieing vice preassembled and cheap
Hey, Keith. These were all purty good hacks. Need to clean Cranky's ears out, or get him some ears, I heard exactly what you said about the " plain ole boxes." Might be a good time to worm him. Dont know which I liked better, the jug light, or the fly vise. Ive got a regular fly tying vise. But the clamp and needle nose would work great in a pinch. Keep up the great videos, even with Cranky's help. God bless y'all and stay safe out on the water.
The flush-cutting pliers are known as gate shears. They are PERFECT for cutting the spruces off of your cast lead baits and weights. Nice flush cut. Gary
I go by several Dollar Generals fairly often , that have hitchin posts for the Amish , and we are way to far out in the sticks to have fancy places like Harbor Freight .
@@FishinNStuff Most of the stuff is made in Plano IL. Sandwich IL and Mendota IL. Not Plano Texas. Also the outlet store is in Plano IL and stuff is cheep cheep cheep.
I buy the rope light from Harbour Freight and stick the rope Into the milk jug for a crazy bright light in the boat. Bought the one rope light for a milk jug idea that has many different types of flashing modes and colors.....grandkids think it's great, not much good for the boat though......looks like a disco studio nightclub , no dang good on the boat, but its is funny around the fish pond, flashing at night.......😮
For your fly vice try harbor freights "helping hands" - a magnifying glass and 2 clips to hold things for $6 or "jumbo helping hands" - magnifying glass, 2 clips, and a light.
great hacks every single one of them... [I knew the milk jar already... add some clorine in the water... it gets brighter even!... ] but want matters the most is the presentation!... you rock it there!...
I think Harbor freight sells locking hemostats to. That might work good for the fly time because you could lock the Hook in the hemostat and still clamp it
I have searched your videos and couldn’t find one for a pill bottle fishing kit. Yes there are others out there, but I would love to know what you would prefer in a very small and very limited space.
16:20 If one can't weld one can JB Weld or super glue. Better yet why not get vise grip style locking needle nose pliers? Not sturdy enough to wrap the thread? Ziptip it to a heavier tool. Just a trouble shooting spitballer here.
7:59 something I use that is along the same idea: I have HF solar pathway lights put in the holes of 30 gallon plastic barrels. The ones that can't be used for water storage are fine because the water in them is only for ballast. Unscrew the plugs and replace with the solar pathway lights and you have a handy area light that can be used as a small table. If you use the solar security lights with a sensor and 55 gallon barrels, you get automatic yard lighting that doesn't blind you! =^.^=
I was walking into a local Walmart and noticed you walking out. Did a double take and would have said hi, but you were in a conversation with another. Good to see you around though!

Like the light on a milk jug, really love the fly tying vise idea, & the headlamp segment gave me a good ol' belly laugh.

11:00 I use this tool for cutting zip ties flush. Keeps from leaving sharp ends sticking about
My wife bought some metal clothes pins somewhere. They have a strong spring. I screwed one on a piece of wood and added a base to it. It makes a fantastic vise for tying gigs.
I bought some off of Amazon called Peggy's Stainless Steel Pegs for the exact same purpose. $12 for a dozen.
For fly tying I've thought about getting the "helping hands" SKU 60501 (home & security> hobby tools> watch repair)
Another great video! I can't wait to start making room for pliers, knives, everything that's hard to "pack".

That's terrible 😕 . Honestly I was just making jokes 😃 but I'm glad we think alike ,,,,great minds
Harbor Freight also has locking foreceps that are handy for holding hooks while rigging and would work for fly tying.
The vice hack is one of the best I’ve seen in a minute.

I have both of those flush cutters. I broke the Stanley ones trying to cut a coat hanger. But those black HF ones are awesome!
The milk jug lite is pretty slick idea im likin it a lot and the home made fly jig is a good one too
Thank you Sir
That light trick is really neat, thanks for sharing. Definitely got to give some of this stuff a try.
Love the hacks. Always nice to start my day off with a little chuckle.
The flush cutters are great to cut zip ties flush! No more scraped skin if you work around cables or whatever zip tied
That Dremel is awesome for sharpening hooks up super sharp!

That fly vice, hands down, is one of your most creative gadget designs ever!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻. Brilliant!! ❤👊
Or try the harbor freight helping hands. It has two alligator clips and a magnifying glass. I think it would work great for tying flies.
the harbor freight side cutters you showed works as nail clippers to
The fly tying vise hack is GENIOUS!
I've never gotten anything from a headlamp, but I have had malaria and dysentery at the same time back in Vietnam.

I used a small pair of needle nose vise grips for tying flies for the first 2-3 years of tying. I mounted it to a board an "bam, there you go!"
I use a giant pair of needle nose in a vice.
Man I LOVE you videos. Not only are they VERY informative, they are VERY entertaining!! Thanks for sharing 👊😎

I loved your chicken coop solar panel video, and now I'm hooked as a subscriber. "Plain o box". LOL
Great video, how about the Helping Hands from harbor freight? 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
They might work . I'm not sure if the alligator clips are strong enough but it's so a great idea
Nail polish is great for lure finish and rod thread seal. The clear stuff is a must to have

Those flush cutters work fantastic for cutting the tag end off a zip tie without turning it into a razor blade.
Thank you for anther great video. I use those locking medical clamp forceps things. Adding one of those clamps is genius. Thanks
Geeat hacks, going to try the vise hack for soldering, might work pretty good. Keep up the great videos!
Great idea with the clamp! So was the light idea!!
Thank you
With a fly tying vice...I just use a cordless drill. On that Insta360, does it have overheating issues like the GoPro?
I haven't heard anyone complaining about it online . I haven't got to use mine enough to say for sure . I bought it for fishing content
Great work as ALWAYS. I use the clamp and plyers trick but never for a fly tying. Strong o-rings work as well.

Them Plain Ol Boxes are probably made in the same Chinese factory that makes Plano boxes.
