I applied to Cambridge, Bath, Durham, Bristol and St. Andrews for psychology this year. I do maths, bio and psyc for my a-levels, plus an EPQ (my EPQ is about intelligence testing and models of intelligence) I got an offer from bristol first which was AAB with no specific subject requirements - this was exciting just because it means that no matter what I had at least one offer. I got an offer from Durham next which was AAB or BBB if I firmed them. I was happy but after the scandal with the boys trying to sleep with the poorest girl and seeing how they handled the situation - I knew I didn't want to go. Then I got a St. Andrews offer which shocked me as it was my lowest offer, ABB - but it was in November; very early by Scottish Uni standards as I'm applying from England. Next was my Cambridge interview - I thought it went decently but not particularly well, especially as rumours were going around that Oxbridge was decreasing the number of offers this year to account for grade inflation. Luckily, I got an offer - and it was quite low as well, only A*AA, which is fairly low by Oxbridge standards. Finally I got an offer from Bath. It was A*AA or AAA plus an A in my EPQ. I was happy about Bath but the offer was too high for me to put it as my insurance after firming Cambridge. So finally, I decided to firm Cambridge and put St. Andrews as my insurance.
I’m an international student in year 11 and I’m really looking forward to the application season even if there are still 2 years to go :) Congrats on all your offers!! They are sooooo brilliant unis💕
@@LucyWangYuxin Hey which uni did you choose at the end? And do you think I can be accepted in a course that asks AAA in a levels if I am from Spain with my equivalent grades to A levels being AAB? Congrats btw,I would never imagine myself being accepted by top tier universities across UK so that is a huge achievement ;)
Did LSE look at your MAT score? I know they don’t ask it on their course page but they emailed me to require addition information from me and one of the questions was what admission test do you take and obviously I chose MAT, but I really messed it up. So I’m just very paranoid now.

@@LucyWangYuxin it’s definitely going to be hard but then again so is your maths possibly even harder 😉 good luck! I think you’ll definitely need it. You’ll be fine tho :)
It's basically conditions you have to reach in order to get into the University and do the course. E.g. If you need grades AAB to study Neuroscience at a certain University, they may accept or reject you if you are predicted/have the potential to get those grades. If you get accepted for a conditional offer, they basically say something along the lines of "You have been given this offer, and you can study Neuroscience on the *condition* that you get AAB grades". Hope that made sense...
u went to private school ur parents are helicopter parents u seek validation ,going to private school is like paying for good grades especially during covid lol
