- One final shot to pull out the million dollar parcel didn't quite pay off this year but never the less we did find a nice haul of Australian Opal!
As the heat hits White Cliffs and the temperature becomes nearly unbearble I go for one last dig underground in the mine we have been working on setting up now for quite some time. Using an old hoist borrowed from Carl Grice from the 'Poms Crew' on outback opal hunters I continue my battle against the earth shifting one shovel full of dirt away at a time until fining some beautiful colour!
I wish I had started filming earlier but I wanted to see if it would be worth the extra effort to document a good find! by the time it had picked up and I decided to film the opal all but ran out! though at the end of the day we still found a nice little haul of gems! hopefully enough to fund the start of our next season!

Wohooo Love you guys! So honoured to have cut your opal. It turned out amazing
Came here from Black Opal Direct! Been watching more rock and gem shows after falling in love with Dan Hurd Prospecting. Thanks for making great content you all!
Thank you so much for cutting it for us! An it was a truely amazing experience to see the workshop in person!
I’d love to have the story of this opal continue! What did you decide to do with it? Did you sell it! A girls gotta know!!!
You did a beautiful job
You are an absolute legend blackopal your channel was first one I saw that got me into opal mining videos
NEVER STOP DREAMING. 3 words for you young man. Your hard work will pay off.
Thank you I’d say my head is always in the clouds but infact it is buried in the earth hahaha
Don't get hung up on just filming when you find opal. As a sub and viewer I enjoy watching the trials and tribulations. Whether it's making a mess mining for nothing in a video or you manage to find 1 bit.
Thank you for the kind words! I’ve so many hours of filming and nothing but I like to be able to show the fun days when we find stuff so decided to still make this one :)
@@younggunsopalhuntersthe other side of the coin is to make sure not to create bs drama for the sake of views either. Keep doing what you do sir and let the content speak for itself.
Good save on the lizard! Lucky fella.
i just watch justin cut and polish your opal, and i am speechless. its what you would say. it's a whopper! absolutely gorgeous, and i am extremely sad that i can't buy it because i can't afford it. i left a comment on Justin's video saying if i could buy that i would get it set in a Pendant and not ever take it off!!!!
Lastly, keep digging don't give up i wish i was there to help.
Thank you so much for watching! And yes Justin is amazing at what he does and it was a dream to be able to have him cut something we found!
Lol .....was hoping that notification from Justin that came about 10 minutes after yours was going to be something of a collaboration! 👏👏👏
Made my day,thanks guys 💜🇦🇺💜
Was a dream to be able to meet up with Justin and have him cut a stone and see the workshop in person!
Watching you cut that shelf you were standing on, I found myself waiting for it to drop out below you. Then we could call you Wylie Coyote. From the bug's bunny cartoons
Not today 😂😂😂
My 2 favorite opal channels collaboration...awesome
Definitely cool to do a collab with the gem cutting wizard himself!

Beautiful stone ya'll ended up with! Color color color!!
Definitely some fantastic could!
I’ve been watching these the last 3 days. It’s a refreshing break from all the political social commentary I watch. Always love seeing you guys stop to save the lizards. It’s very wholesome.
Thanks for watching! We have an awesome time doing this job and being able to share the adventure is a privilege
@@younggunsopalhunters It definitely appears to be hard. But very rewarding and fulfilling work. Keep doing the great job!
The amount of volume of dirt and stone in order to get to these small slivers of Opal is mindblowing to me. I have miners in my family (nickel, silvers and copper). Huge respect for the work and trade.
If it was easy everyone would be doing it!! Keep up the spirits and just keep digging 😊
I came over from Justin's channel ! I love watching him cut and polish Opals ! You have a new subscriber now !
Dude! That thumbnail is priceless. Looks as if you were an asteroid miner. LOL
Now that would be a dream! Imagine what could be found in the belt! 🙌🏻
@@younggunsopalhunters It would be amazing. There are untold riches floating around up there, waiting to be mined and used for building space stations, bases, colonies, ships, etc.
Have you watched the show The Expanse? The show has “Belters” who do exactly that. Plus they mine for ice too, and other frozen gases. Too cool.
Hey buddy. We love your work and content you produce. Thanks.
Thank you for watching!
Good job brother. Love you guys videos. Please stay safe down there. Keep on keepin on friend.
That’s it will keep digging till we hit the big one 🙌🏻⚡️

I've been down in Lightning Ridge.
It's really addictive.
I hope you create a good living at it. Reckon you will.
I watched a TH-cam channel where a couple mine and then hold an online live auction. Seems to pay off and spreads the love and popularity of them gem.
Wow that system you have going is killer wish I could be there helping dig.

Came over to watch your content after just watching Justin cut your stone. Being an Opal lover I obviously appreciate all the work you do under ground to bring it out, but I think you have to be slightly nuts to do it lol
Glad to see you back boys🎉🎉
Thanks for sticking around and watching!
Saw your stone over on Justin's channel and came over to check out where it came from. Cool stuff :D
15 👍's up thank you for sharing this video with us all 😅

Came here after watching Justin Birth you Opal.
Think he made something very special.
Man you should video everything use do we'd watch believe in what you do we love watching
Your crumbs on the ground have that 😂 Wish I could join you blokes
Watched you on Black O D. I also agree with many others. A collaboration of some type would be interesting.
Love your vids, you need to make more video's please !
Cmon boys where the farrk are ya. Want to see you finding some opal.
you guys are so good, great attitude love watching you mining the vid quality so good too keep it up :)
I thought i opend up this video twice when i opend up Justins videon in one tab and yours in another but i heard your voice in both.
Tough break there. Hope it gets better for you soon. Some of those real thin pieces might be used to make some triplets so they may still be worth a bit.
I'm hooked on your content, and on opal in general! I have a paydirt bag coming as soon as 3 days away! I'm hoping to find something nice to look at, or maybe try to turn into jewelry. Thank you for your videos and the dopamine of treasure hunting!
Yes.....we've been waiting.
nice!
You Will get there, you Will get there…
- just Take those 25.000$ like 100 times🤷🏼♂️
- that Will bring 2.5M$ !
FETCH😆🥰
Hi . Another great video. . Opal and gold hunter fans are some what starved of new videos atm . Great to see yr still at it .
A question . . Re the "Concretion" you found and threw away , .
Why was this NOT like a "Yawa Nut" ?? , where you have to cut it open to see whats in side . . Cheers . . Take care . . Hi from NZ . .
A COLLAB?! I guess my schedule just opened up! Gonna see what Justin can do with your stone.
Let's go!!
Thanks for watching!
great video. I do understand wanting to video but not doing so, if you have seams that run out so quickly. I do love that rough. A pity I cannot afford any of it, HA!
Also, I guess I should have watched your video first, and not BOD's
cheers! I hope you find another good run soon.
There was a piece on the ground next to the bucket it lit up like the opal in the bucket
I remember in a previous video you said you find loads of fossel/opel wood. Can't find it on your etsy shop, I would like to buy some
I’ve got some listed on my Facebook profile send me a message there :) facebook.com/marketplace/profile/100000855206159/?ref=permalink&mibextid=6ojiHh
@@younggunsopalhuntersI sent you a message 👍
I come from Indonesia, a lover of various stones. I want to ask why black opal or Kalimaya, when found, is always thin, unlike other stones, friends.
As always..Excellent content. Do You look for opal in Your waste dirt?
Justin sent me. :)
Ill take the "waste " dirt❤
You should sink your lift bucket to ground level. It would be a hell of lot easier.
I hope ya don't get flooded out with those severe storms I have heard of
How does your hopper bucket return home? I see the switch lever at the end, but are there two winches?
Keep your videos coming, I/we love them.... I'm in northern California we're no opal can form... I'd love to work with you folks🤘
Have you considered purchasing something like this and setting it up in your mine and just switching between the flood lights and these black lights when searching your face.
Limited-time deal: 2 Pack 150W LED Blacklight, MEEKBOS UV Black Lights for Glow Party, IP65 Waterproof Outdoor UV Floodlight for Blac...
Just curious why you guys weren't on the latest season of outback opal hunters?
That chunk of congregation reminded me of a knobby. Could there be opal inside it?
I'm curious what wavelength of UV light your torch uses? I didn't notice it in the listing
Can't believe you didn't take ten seconds and break that concretion open
Are you guys on vacation? Guess its pretty hot down there these days. Been seeing Graham pop up, but nothing from the boys lately. Kinda bummed
Do you wash or sort your 'waste rock' or do you just assume it is barren?
I would have broke that rock up to see what could have been in it👊🏼
It’s in the giant pile of dirt at the top of anyone wants to go looking 😂
@@younggunsopalhunters on my way buddy 😂
I wouldn't leave mine till every last piece color is out
Pretty sure that’s what I did couldn’t find anything else maybe next time I will be proven wrong :)
Do you have a link where I can purchase more of your polished Opals?
You have black light headlamps?
Now you know as well as I do even if you found that million hole you'd be back out there the next day well maybe a few days later looking for the next million hole HAHAHAHAHA
I follow Black Opal Direct so I'm about to watch it right now
Thank you for sharing. It always brightens my day when you post a video.
Did you guys quit doing pay dirt? Like I see the Ethiopian pay dirt but not the regular stuff that is usually on the website
All sold out over Christmas hope to have it back soon
Talk about cutting ya grass posting at same time as you guys
its white seam opal?
I'd work in pure blue light, turn it into a nightclub
