It is Vishwamitra. It is of the time when he was a king and took up a fight with the sage Vashistha. He was defeated. He took a vow to take revenge and therefore performed various penances to defeat Rishi Vashistha! But as he progressed he became enlightened and gave up the idea of revenge. Later he becomes guru of Lord Rama on the advice of Rishi Vashistha
This story is of Rishi Vashishta. He tries to reach maa taara via Vedic approaches but fails. He is then directed to go seek out a specific teacher in dakshina china, where he meets said sage who is none other than Narayana who tells him to do his sadhana in a specific way, and then he comes back to kamakhya/ tarapith ( don't recall which one) and does his sadhana the vamachara way and finally reaches maa taara.
Tara is a goddess who ought to be worshipped in the cremation ground, I read that. Could someone tell me is it okay and safe to start her worship at home ? Sorry I am new to Tantra
No don't! She is Ugra one of the Mahavidyas don't have that white ass entitlement that you can do whatever you want! Even When Indians worship such goddesses their life will be ruined cause they don't understand what they are dealing with. You want to worship that's ok but start of with a peaceful deity! I had to help so many people who worshipped mahavidyas without any knowledge!
Aghora is the best book of godess tara❤

There is a big temple to Goddess Tara in a cremation ground in Bengal, called Tarapith. Quite scary.
