It's an Auto 6 speed model!
The Toyota Yaris Sedan or Scion IA started in 2016! Toyota made the decision to stop the production of SCION but kept this one and changed the name to Toyota Yaris IA! The is a big difference between a Hatchback Toyota Yaris and this one! Yes, this Yaris IA is a Mazda under those sheets of metal (Mazda 2 in disguise), but does it really matter? Will the partnership with Mazda help make the Yaris Sedan more fun to drive?

Good catch Josh. The new Yaris iA sedan is essentially a Mazda 2. It looks like an auto trans... good sounding motor. Do you know the time exactly? Seems like less than 10 secs.

What’s the average MPG for this little ride?
Got one, roughly about 35 mpg to 40 mpg. Only takes about 28 dollars to fill up the tank. My gas tank typically last a whole week, considering I commute to school and work. Great car
I get 32
I get like 30 to 35 mpg and when i fill the tank i get like 260 miles of range
I get 60 mpg at 400 range

The Yaris 2006-2012 sedan make 0-60mph less than 10 sec, this new Yaris is much slow than old generation.

@@lotuswc6301 For sure it's heavier than the 2006-2012 sedan . But its handling should definitely be better than the older sedan version - Mazda2 roots - . I find the '06-'12 sedan much more cute than the newer one or any hatchback , it has a very feminine look :))
Didn't launch it right. This engine is a revver ... Got to spool it up, then drop the hammer.
It's an automatic transmission, not sure how you would "drop the hammer" lmao
Don't just go. .. Keep the brake on but rev the engine ... Then let off the brake and take off - Is what drop the hammer means. ... "lmao" .
@@martindebrois1472 that's called brake boosting and it's absolutely terrible for the transmission. The engine also doesn't have a turbo to spool..."lmao"
@@22lbsboost No - it doesn't hurt the transmission, if you don't do it all the time. That's *how you launch* a car, like this, for an acceleration run.
