KJK’s poem was short but really hit home and we all can agree too. “ I’ll never forget how you always worked hard to make people laugh even though you felt embarrassed” Somin wasn’t even a comedian, an actor by profession but still willingly did many embarrassing acts and went out of her way to make us all laugh. It’s not easy to play the image of a love frog in television. Mad respect to her.

@@Bingbangbong28 JK's relationship with Somin really isn't like Sechan and HaHa, who are loud and crazy, or Jaesuk, who has worked with her on multiple shows and is also very high chaotic energy. He's really just a quiet and reserved person who doesn't show affection to women the way he does "the boys". I mean, he did do a sketch based off the badge, that takes effort even if he's good at it. At least make an effort to understand the person before you make judgement calls like that.

*Just see the interview of all people who close to KJK, they alway tell how good he is, help them when they have hard time, buy them stuff, just he doesn't do it when they're filming.
I know she doesn't want to leave with tears, but I cant stop crying watching the last part of this eps. People said she tried too hard, but I honestly enjoy her antics and saw her as a hardworking person (as how KJK said in his poem) Good luck for future endeavor JSM!

Let's also give props to Hyung In PD and the team for this Somin finale ep. The ep also felt like a short summary of Somin's time in RM. Started off a little awkward, then got funny, thrilling, and sweet in the middle, then got heartwarming at the end. Somin leaving Haha a penalty remembrance was chef's kiss 🤣

I was doing fine until YJS started getting solemn and stumbling on his words around 11:46 😭 you can tell he’s really going to miss her. She really was his mentee and protege of sorts. One of the first things I noticed when I started watching the show was the soft spot he clearly has for her. All the best to somin! We’ll miss you!
Also side note: She’s so well spoken. Her tone of voice in her speech was much lower and mature than than how we’re used to hearing her. Every time I see her in her natural state like that I’m reminded that she really is an excellent entertainer.

I can tell the cast was really caught off guard by her departure 😭 i think with kwangsoo they had more time to process but with Somin it feels like it went by fast & a lot of them are still in the stage of “i can’t believe it”

Somin doesn’t shy away from being open with her emotions and expresses whatever she feels with her jokes. This is why she has so many international fans. We love you Somin 🤍🤍🤍😭

Her first 2 years were just constant accusations & negativity from longtime "fans" of the show & the media, & then soon after it was the Covid years. These 6 and a half years were not an easy time for her, but she's pushed through & she always did her best.
Now it's undeniable that she's left a lasting impact on the show, and I hope I can still her more often wherever she is!
She really brought her own game to Running Man, set her own rule, and left in her own terms. Haters can bark all they want, you all been stomped hard by such an outstanding woman. Legendary.

She never lost her self or pretended to be someone she isn't. Her circumstances weren't always exemplary, yet she always did her best, and smiled and cheered for the people around her.
She is someone who leave a strong impression on people who meet her, and you want to be around someone like her.

I can totally relate to Sechan hyung crying because his co-host that joined on the same day as him is leaving Running Man today. It is like joining a new workplace and making close friends until they decide to throw in the resignation letter. And the friendship fades away...
I was laughing out loud because of their banter and hilarious messages for Somin but when it was Jaesuk's turn and he said "Tiger Moth, now you'll become a beautiful butterfly" at the end, I lost it and started crying 🤧♥️
It doesn't feel like 6 years. I remember the day she and Sechan joined like it was last week or something. Honestly, I was one of the people who was against them joining because when Gary left it was heartbreaking and I didn't want to let anyone in to the show where members felt like family to me, but Sechan and Somin grew on me with time. I started to cherish them. When Kwangsoo left it was another heartbreak. And now Somin. I cried and now I have a headache. I wish Somin a lot of success outside of RM from now on, although I'm sure she will be successful wherever she goes. ❤

Somin was my favorite on Running Man because she always wanted to do her best to entertain people. There's going to be such a massive hole in the variety world now that she's gone. She's a talented gem and I hope she achieves everything she wants.

I love how they make it lighthearted as possible, but it still makes me cry :(( Somin will always be the Love Frog, Dove's hat fit, Mad Poet, and more names just for her. Firstly, a massive shoutout to the production team for organising this episode. I thought it was super sweet of them to make that hidden mission tree for her (and a testament to how well loved she is), it was a very Somin gift indeed.
Second, the members. I can't imagine people disagreeing with me that Sechan would be hardest hit out of the members. They first made contact on that housemate show, then started RM together. She is the one coworker he can speak casually with, and one of his major partners in the show. This guy started the day being silly with her, and by the end of the episode, "we have to support her" was the saddest I've ever heard him. HaHa also has a lot of involvement with her on the show, they get to be ridiculous together. But in true HaHa style, he breaks up the sadness with first his OTT facial expressions and then "dang diggi bang", something which Somin caught onto even before he got the second "dang" out. Jongkook is quiet and observant. He doesn't interact with her like Sechan and HaHa do, he and Somin likely don't share inside jokes. So he goes with the simple acrostic and his drawing as a summarisation of her. And yet his face during the reading of their letters to Somin, all tense and scrunched up, I don't remember ever seeing him like this either. Jaesuk's absolute disaster of a rap I thought seemed about right. So much to say, so little time. His "Aaaaaah, I can't see you any more" was, I suppose a function of the same idea as HaHa's, a great deal of love, breaking up the atmosphere, a farewell without tears. His best line was "tiger moth, now you'll become a beautiful butterfly" and I think that says a lot about the mentality he approached this with. His mentee will indeed show her full capability herever she goes. Sukjin, I don't really know what to say, particularly about his letter. On one hand, he says a lot of what I'm sure everyone is thinking. We all wish she could stay. On the other hand, "nong ning naeng"? Jihyo. As the other female member on the show, there have been moments of solidarity, or Jihyo taking care of Somin. They've prepared performances together, and I think at least to some extent, having another girl on stage for high pressure feature performances (all performances are high pressure for Jihyo but fewer people on stage=higher pressure) was a relief.
Finally, as a fan. Somin is clearly well loved, and I know she will be fine wherever she goes, I never worried about her career prospects. I have taken a long time to fully understand the concept of wanting what is good for someone, rather than what is easy for me to come to terms with. The RM members were clearly some of her happy people, and I hope she really does keep meeting up with her friends.

@@englishboy993 1. Somin's English significantly improved in the span of the 4 years I've been watching her. 2. It is clear she puts in the effort to create her RM character. Whether you like it is personal preference. 3. If RM was entirely about physical prowess, we would have a single permanent member Jongkook, with a rotating roster of Sechan, Jaesuk and HaHa out of the existing cast. Other permanent members would have to be drawn from retired and active athletes, or Jongkook's gym bros.
You know who was truly useless in RM over the past 4 years since I've picked up watching again? That freeloader who's been caught on their phone during a segment, who some members are too scared to tease, and forces themselves on a member who clearly wants none of it.
@@englishboy993it is Ms SONG that is useless and stands here waiting for victory. She did pay effort in the past but NOT after changes of team members. She clearly didnt respect the prog and didnt mind to show her unwillingness to cooperate and participation. It is SONG Jihyo that disappointed Runningman fans. She fails to perform her role.
Whats more, she didnt accept Somin until Somin left, and other members dont dare to make her feel unhappy and thus, somehow keep a distance from Somin. A majority of hate commemts to Somin are from SONG Jihyo' fans. SONG knows but she just didnt stop her fans evil acts.
Indeed, Somin is not witty as SONG. But like other members said, she really really tried her best to fit into the role of Kwongshu, no matter how hard.
As SONG has invested in YJS for a long time (she is a very arrogant ppl but she removed wet socks for YJS after a game in the past. Listen, not serving seniors like Chi Sokjin, only YJS). Thus, Somin has no choice but leave.
SONG Jihyo pretends that she treated Somin kind in the last epiosde, but in the past, she barely responsed to Somin. Indeed, SONG Jihyo smiles so happy in this epidso. She never hides her bullying acts to Somin.

Jeon So Min is such a fresh breath of air to me. She doesn't inherit the space left by Lee Gwang Soo but created her own unique persona and even showed her real personality on the screen. She has such a fantastic working ethic that really impressed me.

as a running man fan..this one hit me hard..the departure of Garry..Kwang Soo..The Running Man PD..And now So Min..😭😭
I’m a long time Runner since 2010/2011. I’ve witnessed all the ups and downs of RM with the og members, and when I tell you somin made RM such a refreshing program, I mean it. She had the sense and wits of all the older members, able to think quick on her feet, and and never back down from any challenge; when haha got married, Kwangsoo took on the playboy role, and when Kwangsoo-Sunbin became a thing, somin stepped up despite being an actress. Naturally a deep thinker and a quiet person yet she showed us her multiple faceted persona to entertain us. I know it hasn’t been easy keeping up up with the entertainment veterans on the show, but she threw herself around and wasn’t afraid to be the butt of the joke, if it’s to make things fun.
Our somin unnie, hope we get to see you more on the big screen. Please comeback when you get homesick, we are always here to welcome you home. Once a Runner, always a Runner ❤

Idk, maybe I'm just coping, but I kinda feel that this is not the last of Somin that we're gonna see in Running Man. I just feel it, but for now, I hope she will visit often, and that Running Man is just the beginning of a really long career of her doing variety shows because she's just too good to not do this ❤️

Can't even laugh watching the new episode 680 without Somin. I stop watching at first 7 minutes, and I am here. When LKS leaving I am not like this. But Somin? Haaa.. my heart feel broken without her. Why she have to go so fast? She bring RM new breath after LKS left. I will miss her so much.
I tried to watch the ep after So Min left but couldn't continue watching as I felt the presence of her joke, laughter and all missing.

i was shedding tears when they are reading the poems because i just thought next week onwards there isnt Jeon Somin anymore.. she brought more laughter to the show i feel for me, than some other members did..
i feel like she is the "Kwang Soo" of the show, when Kwang Soo was on the program, he was constantly teased by Jae Suk or Jong Kook, and when he left Somin was like the clumsy and makes ppl laugh with her mistakes, she didnt mind her actress image and painted her face blue and such..and i feel i will really miss her on the show.
now she can finally wear pretty dress and walk on red carpets and maybe i will see her more on Busan Film Festivals and Canes Film Festivals then on variety shows..

How much is enough? If it were up to us she would stay on until the end but it’s folly to only look at what we’ve lost and not to celebrate all that we’ve had. It has been remarkable. Somin has been pure joy. How many times did she make us laugh? How many times did she remind us of how lucky we are? It will not be the same without her every week but what a beautiful run it’s been.

I'm already crying so hard reading the title of this video😭 she was really strong for holding in all her tears, given her sensible personality. I couldn't bear watching this in front of anyone as I continued to cry throughout the rest of this video. During the initial episodes of RM, kwang soo was my bias, part of the reason was bcz he was my close friend's bias and I came to like him after watching him for many many episodes together with my friend. But so min, is the one that attracted me straight from the 1st episode she's in and she is definitely my favourite entertainment star ever. Now that she is leaving RM, some place in my heart felt so empty and despite the remaining members are awesome, RM is not going to be the same anymore without so min 😭 you can tell that she really loves running man so much that, until the very end, she didn't forget to promote the show and urge everyone to continue loving RM members and its staffs. She is so calm and well-spoken, which took a surprise to me, given her mischievous character she had always portrayed in RM. She definitely has the talent to become an excellent emcee. So min unnie, I love you very much, please come to visit RM as often you could, we truly love you, as you are the battery of this show ❤❤❤

I stopped watching after she left. I did that after Kwang soo left too, then like after a year or something get back to it. But after this one I dont know its just feels weird to me😔😭
Watching this episode make me cry for almost an hour😭😭😭.. I watch running man every week since 2011, running man members feels like my own family relative that i visit every week.. Somin absence might make me feels empty for a while 😢😭😭 like when kwangsoo left rm.
P/s: i looked like a crazy person. First i laugh, a second later i cried like a mad person😅

For me there were two highlights that stood out for me in this farewell episode:
One was SJH's farewell/sendoff to JSM. I think everyone is well aware that a lot of hate that was directed at JSM came from the SJH fanbase. This moment between the Mongdol sisters was a big middle finger to all the haters from both sides. SJH and JSM love each other like sisters. There was never any competition between them. Even the cast acknowledges that SJH was the one most affected by JSM leaving.
Second was YJS acknowledging the hate comments in the introduction. It was nice to see the cast stand up for JSM and telling the people who leave hate comments that JSM isn't leaving because of them. JSM is leaving to focus on her acting career.
But I digress.
While it might not be likely in the near future - I hope JSM visits like she said she will! Maybe when she has another movie she will come around to promote it. Wishing JSM all the best!
There's going to be a glaring hole with JSM but we should continue to support Running Man!

Their last hug seemed genuine at least to me. The way somin held jihyo's head. The way Somin hides behind jihyo everytime she teases Jongkook. What toxic fans did to them were not affecting their relationship.
They were always clinging to each other but never get highlighted. That's why running man fans call both of them as Mongdol sisters.
We are just merely fans. Stop acting like we know all of them in real life. We know nothing behind the camera.

How do we know if jihyo was actually comforting her behind the scene? That's the reason why you cannot act like you know them in real life.
Even the flashback scene shows genuine interaction between both of them. If both of them weren't friends, Jeon Somin wouldn't post her picture with jihyo. She won't happily jump and hug jihyo in a lot of running man's episodes. Go and search for mongdol sister then you'll find many things about them. They even have their own fan base. Gosh.
How did you know jeon somin's favourite colour is only green? Did she call you and give you a list of her favourite colours? Who meets her every week? You or running man members? How come you know jeon somin more than running man members?
She keeps sticking to sominie just because that's gonna be the last day for them to be in the same show. They did hang out together with other members and jihyo did ask somin and sechan for young people's drinks session in one of the running man episodes.
Why does she need your permission to post a picture on her own instagram? She posted that probably two weeks after somin's left the show. Somin's only left the show, somin herself told the viewers that she is not dying.
