It took me and my friend about 3 months to beat the game while playing 4 hours a day but only questing about 2 of those, the other 2 were spent doing stuff like crafting, fishing, pet training, decorating etc. We played about 24 days each month so that's 72 days x 2 hours = 144. Your calculations are very accurate. We probably could have done it faster but since my friend is new to the game and he decide to play storm I always let him finish the enemies which makes the fights a little bit longer.
ye it's definitely going to take me longer than this, i started playing again recently just to have some fun on a game i used to play years and years ago. i don't totally care for running through it as fast as possibly but i've been trying to see what gear and spells are best now as things are different
I’ve never maxed a character, I found that when I do start a new character I can generally breeze through the first arc in like a week, Celestia in a couple days, and most of Zafaria in a couple days, then once I get to late Zafaria/Avalon I start to get bored/burned out and start playing a bit less. Worlds start to take around a week/week and a half. The first character I gave up on I quit towards the end of Avalon, and then when I came back to play a few years later I got all the way up to finishing Khrysalis Pt. 1, and then I got burned out again, and I haven’t played for like a month at this point. After a point the game just gets so repetitive, ESPECIALLY arc 2. I wish the spells between Rank 7 and Darkmoor were actually viable. I was just so tired of blade blade feint feint feint scarecrow for literally every battle aside from the occasional cheating boss. I think that if I got back into it and grinded for a couple hours a day I could probably knock out Khyrsalis pt. 2. The second arc is just too damn long man.
That’s interesting. The first arc except for MB is boring to me. Avalon is where I get excited because Azteca is around the corner with sharpen and potent trap. Lots of spell enchantments as well.
You can beat the entire game in 1 month playing game 5-6 hours a day, as a new player. It’s a lot, I do not recommend you do that, you will burn out and quit. Arc 2 is worst and is longest
It takes me forever to go through each world. I still love the game but don't have as much motivation to power through a world in a day or two. I think my fastest world, not including WizCity, was Polaris and that took me 2 days.
I don't know if this will sound weird, but I always look forward to your videos, Noah! I don't play W101 much anymore, but I still like to tune in to your channel from time to time and binge watch your videos. Keep it up! Hope you reach the 4k. Also, don't forget to take breaks if needed!
Bruh, even as a kid when i would be playing all day, everyday, after school and i'd be making progress every hour, getting to level 70 (Back when it was the lvl cap) on my life wizard took a whole summer to achieve. Granted though- I have no friends and I dont like to double tap bosses, so i stack up what i can and lead with an ohko, which is probably why it's taken me almost a decade to complete the game- edit: forgot to say, i been on the same wizard for 8 years lol
For those new players out there in their first playthrough, don't bother timing yourself and trying to speed through the game. Just enjoy what you spent money on because when you get to end game the grind is ahem more boring. Which explains why I'm questing my 3 days old account in Dragonspyre simultaneously as I'm grinding Abandoned House on 3 other accounts.
Depends. Let’s say you prepare before hand, make a god pet, give monstrous TC, have a group of max levels, ONLY do the main quest with the exception of spell quest, dungeon quest, and any other side quest that benefits you. you could reach max in like under 5 days. But even then if your playing like 8+ hours a day it would be difficult as you’d have to farm for gear and level. If you go into it solo, without a god pet, doing not only required side quest but also side quest like the ones in winter tusk which boost you a ton. Probably at least 2 weeks. This depends on your school though. I think wizard city is fairly long only because you don’t have blades or powerful spells or many pips and fizzles. Krok is extremely quick, same with wysteria, Marley, and zafaria. I also remember Polaris being quick? The most PAINFUL especially solo is dragonspyre because of all the collect quest and grind. Khrysalis because of the two parts is long but less annoying. I don’t remember the other worlds.
If we’re talking about storyline, if you sacrifice at least 10 hours every day and really grind, you can actually finish the mainline quests in just under 3 weeks. That doesn’t take into account farming gear, hatching pets, or doing the side worlds or side quests.
Used to play the game in the prime and played a lot I remembered this game just in the back of my head now I am restarting the game and this video helped a lot keep it up.
Started playing with a friend when quarantine started on a fresh steam account. We played together all the way through Azteca and then after that I was on my own because he quit. So khrysalis through karamelle was solo. I finished the lemuria prequest just under 630 hours in game. Obviously this wasn't wall questing, this was a fresh account so I had to everything with no head starts to anything. Pet hatching, crafting, fishing, gear farming, starting other wizards, etc. The questing is the fast part, all the other side stuff is what adds up the time.
I am not lying when I say this, I started one day at around 6:am and finished both Avalon and Azteca together in the same day, and ended off at around 10:pm. The most hours I’ve ever put into one days worth of playing, I helped myself with my max balance on a spare account, The only way I could of done it. Then followed two days later where I finished khrysalis in about 9.5 hours. World Record? 🤷♂️
I just beat Malistare yesterday after like 13+ years or whatever since I played it as a kid and let me tell you. That alone felt so good, my inner child lost his shit when I finally started making the Drake Armor screaming "YOU'RE FUCKING DOING IIIIIIT!!!" Lol. So proud that I finally did something I honestly never thought I'd get to. The difficulty curve from DS to Celestia though is ROUGH. I was able to solo my way through Arc 1 and the first boss of Arc 2 had me stuck on it for a hot minute. Any tips? I think it has to do I still haven't figured out the pet making and overall crafting part of the game.
Get the Zeus gear if you haven’t already from Mt. Olympus, read up on how to get into Pets too. I never bothered with it either until I realized they can legit add up to 25-30% additional damage. Also finish Grizzleheim and do Wintertusk before Celestia, it will get you overleveled and to a point to where you can craft Wintertusk gear (lvl. 56) or farm Waterworks Gear (lvl. 60), which will make the game substantially easier For general strategy for Celestia focus on casting a shield (either Tower or the enemy’s school) during the first round instead of a blade or trap. That saved my ass many times when I was doing early Celestia.
I takes me about 5 weeks to finish a world playing around 3 hours a week but I never get bored of the game I got to dragonspyre and recently started a new character that’s in krokotopia I do fishing and daily challenges and crafting so it also takes my time to do that stuff
always happy to answer questions :) my fires robe is the atlantean robe from the atlantean bundle. Also i still play and upload wiz occasionally just not as frequently.
Hey Noah don't want to bore you with this comment but averages are easy to calculate. So for ex your time for wiz city Low is 1hr and High is 3 so you add 1 and 3 to get 4 and then divide by 2 bc you used 2 times so the average would be 2hrs
Is this the way you would do the worlds in? I just started the game and I'm at level 33 and halfway through mooshu with no progress on grizzleheim and I don't think I've done Wysteria just yet. I'm also Balance, so I'm going to check that let's play series out!
