To get it cooler you have to dial in the sine power in the configurator 😉....very interesting results though...keep up the good work👍
You mean set the motor kv or adjust another setting? We’re about to drop a test of the fusion pro 2300kv, and I think it’ll be shocking compared to these drone esc/motor setups! 🍻🍻
The way I look at it, the 40 amp version is for smaller and/or lighter rigs. The 70 amp version is great in more demanding environments - just worth the extra $
This is a possibility, we have an 80amp esc that'll be tested real soon! 🍻🍻
You can set up any testing scenario and when the tested esc does not meet your expectations you could call it a fail.
The rhino esc 40 amp is meant for light comp crawlers, so weight is under 2.7 kg, heat shrink is cut out for heat sink and you use a direct power servo. When these circumstances are met, the esc performs well and the low price tag is a bonus.
I never had issues with it, i use it in comp vehicles over the last year.
When you dont use direct power servos, get the rhino esc with 80 amp: it has an internal bec with 10 amp. That works great also for heavier vehicles.
Thanks for the feedback!
I don't think any of them will "fail" the results will ultimately show what ESC does what under each condition. There will be strengths and downfalls to each, and it's just a matter of finding them.
When not using direct power, I skip the ESC bec either way and run a 10a dedicated bec for the servo to ensure there are no brown/black outs. 🍻🍻
Would love to see a battle of the silent ESCs the holmes, crawlmaster the rhino, the silent assassin, and the EXO Belay
We have all of them but the exo, and silent assassin. We'll add those to the list once we finish up with the others! 🍻🍻
I cut the heat sink out around and expose the cooling fins. Made a huge difference
That's an excellent idea!! 🍻🍻
