You can always fluff up a braid which will give the illusion of a lot more thickness than you have. With the length you have you could go to crazy levels with that.
As a seamstress I like the interesting and unusual neckline of the dress you are wearing. The ingenious use of the pin solves a problem and makes your outfit unique. I looks very nice.
Fun fact: I actually came to find your channel after binge watching the Hungarian Folk Tales channel, and being suggested your videos. I need giant apron pocket in my life
My great grandparents came to USA from Hungary and the culture was lost over the generations except the food and we gather for a few times a year at Paprikas celebrating our forefather Grandpa Dobos and also enjoy a Dobos torte. Seeing you and your videos feels good for my soul to connect with my roots. Thank you for your posts. I’ve let my hair grey and grow as I age and you’ve reconfirmed that natural is best! I love that you’re ok with how thin your braid gets at the bottom and I’ve always felt compelled to trim but just going to let it do what it may for now. Bless you cousin!!
Girl, you are so gorgeous!! Hungarian and Bulgarian culture have been things that have always been odd to me but you present it in such an interesting way.
They have hair extensions you can just braid into your own hair on etsy; will even match your own personal hair color. I'm buying some so i can do this:) Good luck ladies :)
Omg, as the young kids say nowadays, you unlocked a memory of mine, those cartoons at 7:29 were broadcasted in Italy too when I was a child, I completely forgot about them until this very moment 😊
I watched those cartoons as well in my country and I desperately need to know the how it was named.🥺 I tried so hard so many times to remember it but I was so little and the title of cartoons was in foreign language that I am not able to find out the cartoons online. 😔
yes, those from La Melevisione? Storie Di Paesi Lontani or something like that. they showed old Russian and other slavic/easter european cartoons. so lovely!
Oh my goodness! I've watched those Hungarian Folk Tales! I adore folk tales from all over the world and was enchanted to find those on You Tube! And, Yes! You look very like those clever, pretty heroines - thanks for sharing :D
That's pretty amazing! Not many foreigners know about them, even though they are very high quality production. So glad you enjoyed them -- and you're incredibly sweet to say that, thank you 😊🌷
I wish I would have such beautiful and thick hair. Mine are unfortunately too thin to look beautiful when they are long. I tried to grew them long, but it just doesn’t look good because of my hair structure. You‘re so blessed with your hair, you‘re a true beauty!🤍
I love your videos soooo much. Every time a new one comes up I am really excited and happy, always grinning through the watching. The hairstyle ist beautiful, but so is your accent too, your style of storytelling, your little dances and your flirting with the camera. ^^
A lovely elegant everyday hairstyle, for royalty, especially for the Norse "era". The opulence of the gold ribbon says it all. While I have been subscribed for a very long time, I am not on Instagram. Sad to miss that part of it.
Don't know why, but this came up on my home page/recommended - glad it did though, great video, love your personality & sense of fun☺️👍....not to mention your hair, wow!😳
I've been washing my hair 1x a month for the past year to help it to not fall out so much, however I have to use alma powder to soak up the grease, and it usually looks dirty. Do you have recommendations to make it not look dirty?
Thank you! This is actually my childhood/teenage room, at my parents house, so I only get to enjoy it pretty rarely, when I visit them. Yes I did sew the curtains myself :)
I love your series of Witcher hairstyle tutorials: the way weave both a story and a literal braided hairdo is definitely entertaining and informative at the same time. Also, the old cartoon looks very lovely. Makes you really want to watch them on a lazy Sunday morning.
Thank you so much! I’m very glad it comes through as both of those! I try to walk the line between comedy and informative videos - I’m so happy I’m on the right track 😊
Gurl we have same hair length ! also ,i dream to have long grey hair when my time comes, i hope it will be as pretty as yours ! and i used to watch those cartoons growing up, hungarian and romanina folk stories are really similar
Hello Anna!, I would love to know how you trim your hair to protect it and keep it in such a long beautiful and healthy shape. Do you trim it yourself or do you go to a hairstylist once a year? Thanks
Hi Anna! I came across your channel a few days ago and I simply love your content! I'm growing my hair (currently at tailbone length) and these braided styles for longer hair are soooo helpful! (also, I've been watching Hungarian Folktales for a while now, and even though the English dub is a bit off at times they are very charming stories!)
Thank you! Wow! Good luck with your hair journey! 🌿 I'm really glad I helped out another long haired gal - it's one of the reasons I started making hairstyle videos: because most content that's for "long hair" is actually for... shoulder blade length 😅 not always very helpful 🙈
@@PrettyShepherd Thanks for the reply! :D haha yes, since growing longer hair I've noticed that most people's definition of 'long' no longer really applies 😅
I feel that -> 3:38 Every time I try to do something a bit more complex than my everyday braid my hair gets knotted in the most creative ways.... (Edit: I just realized that I wrote the same thing in my last comment. My memory is not the best 😅😂) Anyway, I love this hairstyle! That you just wind your already braided hair around your neck is really smart. A good way to store it while braiding the rest. I'm afraid I have to steal this technique from you 🙈😂 Just as I am, my cat, for some reason, seems to be really interested in your videos. I need to research that further 😂
Thank you! Feel free to use that trick 😊 It's the only way I can reach the end of my hair with my hands to braid it 😅 I don't even remember when I started using it, but it's just how I do things now
I am so jealous of your hair! It's so beautiful! Mine just won't grow! I never even had had hair down my back. Never mind passed the waist!: ( And I love braids and twists so much!
The most important ingredient to long hair is patience. Perhaps you can also try some rape seed oil on the scalp - I’ve been using it for over a decade.
Same struggle, no added growth in 3 years the last time I tried, never get it long enough to cover my breasts. And the thickness makes elaborat buns impossible, a bit more than shoulderlangth and a quarter raspy short to thin it out and I still barely get a single round. . .
Beautiful! My hair is quite long now. Below my butt. It’s very thick and coarse - and gray, but I’m 55(Been graying since 24). I find putting it up in any way difficult, because it’s so heavy. Any advice?
I agree. And sometimes it’s not even about being lazy, but having a busy day with little time to yourself - you still want to look presentable, so you braid a simple quickie and the day is saved 😁
I can't double braid because of back pains. I can do double ponytails instead and start braiding the ponytails. Sometimes you have to adapt hairstyles for your own needs
I'm 25 and getting my fair share of whites already. I can't WAIT for my hair to look like yours lmaoooo (yes i did bleach my hair platin for 4 entire years it probably helped but i think law school did most of the work)

Anyway even if its not exactly a gibson girl i would love to see a folk look with roll type style and very little in the way of modern hair tools and products to do it with. My hairs naturally straight and doesnt hold any wave curl crimp nothing lol hairdressers have tried and failed i think because my hair is also very fine but theres a lot of it so it is also thick which means i get the downsides of both thick and fine hair. so i usually just braid it, have it half up half down or in a high bun. Occasionally ill do my hair in a viking like hair style where its partly down and free and has lots of braids (rope, basket, french) and brown ribbon to tie them (instead of brown leather strips) and i really enjoy that since i get the beauty of my hair down and loose but also a lot of the benfits of having it away from my face and off my neck (it gets too hot otherwise my hair is very much a blanket) Your hair is extremely beautiful (and so are you 😊) i hope my hair is that long in the next 5 years! Im a natural multi shaded blonde ranging from white blonde to dark milk chocolate blonde with metallic shades of bronze and gold throughout so my hair changes colour with the seasons and depending on the light can look either fully gold blonde flaxen whatever OR milk chocolate looking... i think the colour is called mysti??? In slavic countries but yeah i rarely see my hair colour around and thats the closest ive found is natural blondes of that general area who tend towards darker blonde. Could you do a video on hair colours like the natural ones of folklore associated symbolism meanings or a general overview of them in europe or the british islands. I know my last name came about from the term for fair or yellow haired so its always fascinated me the different hair colours and how red for example is more prevalent in ireland and like how theres at least 5 different shades per colour and how brunette hair can look black etc. The females of my paternal line are fair haired but go pure white fairly early in life so it was lovely to find your channel and see your lovely hair and of course 'grandma hair' is seen as cool these past years but ive always loved it to me it looks more magical and elf or sidhe/fae like and since i was little ive been hoping and praying that id have lovely bright white hair at some point and really embrace a elf forest like look haha.
Thanks for the sweet comment! I do wear my hair in a gibsonesque updo in summer sometimes, so I would definitely like to show that one, as well as try to replicate some hairstyle based on some turn of the century photographs ✨

The woe of length that erases our curls. Adore my curls but love more my long locks.

I watch those Hungarian folktale....love them so much.
Shows that you don't do complicated stuff to achieve great results :D
I also really liked, that you showed snippets of that cartoon!
This was such a beautiful and simple hairstyle and I am starting to regret cutting my my thigh-length hair. Sigh. Oh well, it will grow back 🤞🏽🌿
Thank you, I'm glad you liked it! Patience is the main ingredient of long hair, so -- in some time -- I'm sure it will 😊
I feel the same about mine (tailbone). Right now it only reaches my shoulder blades, but it'll grow back. Once it has I'll try this hairstyle. ^^
They have hair extensions you can just braid into your own hair on etsy; will even match your own personal hair color. I'm buying some so i can do this:) Good luck ladies :)
