That is some great wood. Great work you don't have to spend $1,000 on a new sofa. 👍 A sofa that would last you a lifetime. I have a sofa that's 2 decades old and still looks and feels great. I put a blanket over it so it last long.

I really appreciate how much work went into this. You do good work, for sure! I'm curious: between the cushions, is it comfortable to sit directly on the wood frame? Often there will be more than 3 people sitting on a couch in my house and someone has to sit on the gap. It seems that sitting on the frame would be pretty uncomfortable, especially for a fat guy.

Pretty much all couches/sofas are like this. You dont really notice , the padding covers it
Although I do prefer something with removable cushions
Over time when that cheap foam starts to sag you will definetely feel those rails.
Better made sofas lower those rails so that they are not felt.
