    Just got my set the other day and going to get another set. I wrapped them with the first method you showed, they look super.
    Thanks for the great idea.

    Very cool! I had no idea these were legal to own in Canada. I'll definitely check them out so I too can have them "just on my desk and definitely not to carry when I'm alone" I love the simple but effective wrapping!

      It's illegal to walk around with that in your pocket in Canada.

    Personal opinion: better to go to court for excessive force than be dead in the street. As the joke goes; If you keep a baseball bat in the car, keep a ball and glove with it. Your lawyer will thank you.

      Canada is completely unreasonable about things like this. Certain states will issue me a carry permit for a handgun while in their state, but when I come home to Canada I can't even have a flashlight for defense of self and property or else I'm a dangerous felon potentially facing decades in prison. Maybe some of these politicians and lawmakers should spend some time in a really rough neighbourhood and see how they feel about things like that after.

      @@WKidd1776 I agree with you on this one. Canada is behind on self defense laws. Am I suppose to just let people take whatever they want without defending myself? If it were up to me I would enforce conceal carry just like the U.S.

      ANOTHER TRICK- Make sure you take the bat and ball out AT LEAST once to have some impact marks on the ball to show you ACTUALLY use it "for sport"...

    I'm from Canada as well I'm just curious when you say it's illegal to have a pen in your pocket. What part of Canada are you from. I'm in the GTA west of Toronto.

    • @TheWeaversofEternity
      @TheWeaversofEternity  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      What I meant by that is if you have a pen or just about any object on you for "self-defense" reasons, it is illegal. Now obviously, if you have a pen in your pocket you can always say it's for writing and not hurting people. But what I was getting at, is just that we Canadians are not permitted to carry anything for the sole purpose of self-defense. I am in the GTA as well btw.

    They're legal in many states, and most require an actual CCW permit to concealed carry. Better research what the situations are for legit use, though.

    • @cgasucks
      @cgasucks ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm sure they do but as a Canadian, I realize that there a few sellers over there actually sell the real thing. Check your local state laws to see if they're ok to own regardless if they're plastic or metal.

    In all honesty in canada, all most all self defense cases that don't use extremely mild force will be prosecuted.
    A man in canada was sent to prison after he stabbed and killed a man who broken into his house and stabbed him in his sleep.
    Another man in canada was arrested for assault after beating up a thief who was robbing his store. They'll find you guilty if they want to. Now the question is are you willing to risk dying in a situation to not go to jail?

    • @TheWeaversofEternity
      @TheWeaversofEternity  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Very pertinent information for sure and yes, you ask a very good question. Something that must be considered in self-defense situations. Unfortunately not something you'll have time to contemplate during an attack. Mental fitness and preparedness for such situations is more important than any tool/weapon/object you may use to defend your own life.

      @@TheWeaversofEternity yeah you're right. I was speaking more to the decision to carry these. If you're the type of person who regularly encounters physical altercations with people who necessarily cant go to the cops and you already know how to fight to some degree (boxing or muay thai training) then carrying these could make sense. I know how to fight but don't really get in any trouble ever so I've never carried them but if I was ever worried about my physical safety, especially from a criminal I'd choose to carry them.

      In Canada If the police find one of those in your pocket your getting arrested and charged with possession of concealed weapon. You are not allowed to carry anything for the purpose of self defense it is BS but unfortunately that's how stupid the law in Canada is.
