Brother, I have found you at just the right time! You sir have a new follower for life haha. I'm teaching myself how to code smart contracts and build daps and all that good stuff. My only previous experience in Coding and Web design was doing some minor projects in C++ back in grade 9 and some very minor HTML in grade 10. (I'm 29 now... lol) And I JUST started the first step in learning Solidity, literally 2 days ago..... I will be soaking up each and every one of your videos like a god damn sponge! Cheers brother!

Amazing video. Always very useful content. One little thing, though, and it's not about you in particular. All kinds of TH-camrs are doing it. There is no value in looking at a talking head if it's blocking the subject matter. That's frustrating. Just introduce yourself at the start then disappear whenever the content is full screen, such as while viewing code. This video's from 2018 so if you're already doing that, please disregard.

Hi, thanks for the video. At 16:47, when you open metamask extension, I don't see an option to connect to private network. Am I missing something?
you can create a custom network and add the ganache http address on there to show up

@DappUniversity, in this video you are updating value of a variable in smart contract. But I was thinking a value once written into blockchain can't be updated anymore. Then how in this case it is possible? Can you please advise on this.
@dappuniversity what is the purpose of metamask, its not very clear....once everything gets setup...I switched off Metamask and the application is running fine and the blocks are getting updated in ganache properly, because my understanding is as soon as we have web3 library...we have already connected to ganache and everything is working fine without metamask.
what will happen , if we want add some more code and re deploy ? will it give another address or on the same contract address code will updated ?

If we use the latest version of Solidity, the candidate name shows as a random hex address, instead of the text that we want. Does anybody know what changed and how to fix the issue?

The '$' is jquery notation which is a shortcut for the lengthier JavaScript equivalent. The 'input' refers to the HTML element 'input' within the form. The 'val()' function returns the content of the input element. The values 'Candidate 1' and 'Candidate 2' were typed into the form on the web page.
How hard would it be to build a Strong Node like system on a different network?

Was unable to connect to ganache via web3 provider option. Switched to http:/remix.ethereum.org and it worked well.

I am sorry but your tutorial isn't accurate as we still have to use truffle to get index.html, can't be done independently on Remix. that's one of the main reasons I didn't enroll in your course
you are showing off but not teaching us, there is always a piece missing or step that has to be done to be able to finish our project which isn't explained in your tutorials.
sorry for bluntly saying this but it's my experience and opinion in your material.
I’m also having the same issues I’ve been focusing hard on watching and rewatching his tutorials easily spending over 15 hours the last 2-3 days and I always get close but then there’s just something missing
