The interviewer sounds unprofessional! They have no right to ask why the candidate wants to change his/her company. Leave that job to HR. I have done many interviews and would never ask any questions related to change/package. Just focus on skillset and whether they fit the role and mindset. The interviewer's mindset needs to be changed as well.
