Hey folks! Here’s an extended episode for you, we’re looking at three cases that happened around Melbourne, Australia. Next video we are back to the usual format. :)
Thanks for great storytelling!
I think it’s awesome even whilst you’re away you’re putting out content, thank you ever so much, be safe on your journey✌🏻💞
Holy video length, Batman! Thanks a lot as always, Adrian.
Gosh, this is so long. Now you're introducing "series" based on cities, I feel like I'm getting a Geog lesson, Adrian. Big hug to Nero from the train in wintry Scandinavia.
@@mikalaiho I'd love to visit Scandinavia, especially Iceland.
All sexual predators should never be released from prison, *PERIOD*. It has been shown time, and time, and time again they will not only reoffend, but almost always escalate their behavior to murder so there are no witnesses to get them sent back. Why does this keep happening?
It's expensive to keep them in prison.
I agree. How is someone with 10 documented cases of assault against him on the streets. The justice system failed miserably. He should have been locked up forever after he assulted his second victim
I agree that all sexual predators should never be released from prison. Why should they get a second chance when their victims get zero.

What job do you have that allows you to listen or watch these videos?
@@thedesensitizedsympathizer5307 long story short im putting certain car parts in a big machine and have to wait 30 minutes for the machine to weld the parts together.
A lot of dedication put into it, if you ask me
Yeah I work nights at my job, love videos like this while I do paperwork
Those work com guys 😂
I'm from Melbourne and I lived on the same Coburg street as Jill's murderer. I knew his face and saw him regularly in the neighborhood. I remember the missing posters and the march down Sydney Rd for Jill. There was a weight of sadness across the northern suburbs. The local church had a tower of flowers and candles out the front for a long time. I think you told the story very well and respectfully. Thank you for covering these stories. I really like this format.
Sydney Rd?
I grew up on Bell Street!
It's really such a sad story. 😢
Seeing familiar places makes it sadder as I was lucky enough to have only good memories.
Melbourne's such a small city sometimes, I used to pass by the Franco Cozzo (ina Brunswick, not Footascray) that they showed for IT purposes at the uni near there. She looks like a really Melbourne person, if that makes sense - as if you'd see her presenting the news on ABC or something.
I also basically lived on his street. Grew up in Coburg too. I love that area. It was very shocking, Jill and a few others losing their life around this time in similar ways. To the victims, rest peacefully and to their loved ones I'm so sorry for your loss.
The entire country felt the sadness of what happened to Jill, it should never have happened but sentencing on repeat violent offenders is way too lenient.
My brother and I were stalked on the highway and nearly abducted by a serial killer driving a yellow Volkswagen , I can’t remember where in Florida but it was hot, I was 9 and my little brother was 7 we ran and had to climb over a dead cow that was in a dry creek bed it stunk real bad. The serial killer stopped his car and yelled out to me and my brother, he said your mommy is sick in hospital come with me! we ran and had to hide in a corn field! Bill Joe ran out of the corn field, as he wanted to go with man to see our mom but I threw a rock at my brother’s head to stop him going to the serial killer. I didn’t mean to kill my little brother! It was an accident I swear! I hid in the corn field until the serial killer left. I put my brother’s body under the dead cow. I told my parents he ran away and they believed me!😮
My mum had a too close encounter with the Frankston Serial Killer during his active months of murders.
My dad worked for a trucking company, and had a fuel deal with a local servo. Mum was told by Dad to go fuel up the car, and let the server know it was to go on that particular log. After fuelling her car, she went in to talk to the staff. There was a man serving, she was the only customer. The man told her she needed to come into the back room to sign the paperwork for it. She followed, thinking this must be the usual protocol. He closed the door behind him. She got this immediate feeling that something was wrong.
Before he could do anything, there was a ding. A customer had opened the front door. The man left to serve them, and mum left too.
When she told Dad about it, he was confused. He’d never been asked to sign anything.
It was months later that she was watching the news, the Frankston Serial Killer had been caught. Mum recognised him immediately as the man who served her that day, the one who led her to the back room and locked the door.
We don’t know what he could’ve done that day, but she was literally saved by the bell. If that random person hadn’t walked in when they did, she might not have gone on to have another 2 kids, including me.

I really appreciate how much you focus on highlighting and humanising the victims, while showing your distain for the perpetrators. Some reporting seems to almost fawn over the killers and barely mention their victims. While it is heartbreaking, it also really drives home the horrors of the crime and just how disgusting the perpetrator is.
I totally agree with you.
No life insurance dance from Adrian! One of the best crime channels!
Thank you for recognizing and appreciating my approach to highlighting and humanizing the victims while expressing disdain for the perpetrators. It's crucial to me to emphasize the stories and experiences of those who have suffered, rather than glorifying or sensationalizing the actions of criminals.
I totally agree!!! I don’t watch the ones that are about the perpetrators. I’m so tired of the ones about the famous serial killer’s 😡
I was interviewed for the Casefile Podcast on Paul Denyer as he lived on our street growing up, killed our pets and was a genuine horror. Everyone that lived in Langwarrin/Frankston back then remembers what happened and the terror he caused.
So glad you were not harmed by the monster
I love the idea of Nat's track. Her story ended so tragically but the fact that her final moments on earth now have a safe place for people to travel is a statement that her killer did not win, and she did not go down without a fight and will not be forgotten, nor will anyone else suffer as she did. Hero.
Yeah kids have to walk through there from a school
I discovered this channel a few weeks ago and I can't explain how many episodes I've watched already and how I am even able to do so. I watch from the moment I wake up, while working, eating dinner, out for a drive, going to bed. This is insanity. The format, the presentation, the level of details, the story telling, down to the English accent and occasional dry British humor...it hits all the spots for me as a crime documentary junky and even spots I didn't realize I had. My only fear now is what happens if I run out of episodes and actually have to wait for them to get posted...I suppose watching them twice would actually not be the worst. How can I support this channel besides watching videos, I love your work.
That seems insanely unhealthy.
Buy his coffee 😁 👍
I felt the same way a few years ago when I discovered this podcast. One just wants more and more!!
If you want to support him more, he has a brand of coffee for sale in the videos description.
Have you checked out Mr Ballen well worth a go!!!
Ahhh Jill Maegher, what a horriffic thing that happened. Australia almost stood still when this happened with a collective gasp. A very dark, dark day in Australian history. RIP beautiful Jillian ❤ A very good production Adrian, very well done.
I especially hate when these things happen to expats or tourists. These people come here with dreams and looking for happiness. It makes more people afraid to visit when Aussies are genuinely friendly people. Jill especially was a sad and scary case that is still discussed with some frequency. Always felt for her husband. He was a suspect, he’d lost his wife and was so far away from his family.
'Australia stood still' lol, not really, only time I can remember anything like that happening was 9/11 as I'm a bit too young for the moon landing and JFK😂
31:53 Okay, can I just take a minute to say that the term "postie" for "postal worker" is both adorable and the most wonderfully Australian thing I've heard today? Seriously, hearing that was a glimmer of brightness in a horribly grim case. Thank you for that, man.
Not just Aussie, mate
" ban all the hunter animals in nature and wilderness , keep peace , homosexual biological male specific "

Oh but us tiny girls should be able to 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ yes they should but they CAN’T 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
Can't tell you chills i got seeing the hole in the fence. Around 1995/1996 when i was a teen, a friend was seeing a guy who lived in frankston. One day he took us down a track saying he wanted to show us something. He stood in front of the adult sized hole in a chain link fence, & said this is the hole that school girl was pulled through & murdered just there. Me and my friend panicked & rushed back out. I felt the blood drain out of me then & now all these years later seeing that image on the screen, matching my memory. I was going to tell my story with a note that maybe he picked a random track to scare us. But nope. Thats the one i saw. Feel horrified all over again. Thank you for your coverage & for visiting us (Im in Berwick.. around 15 minutes from Dandy North).
*hugs* 💗 You're safe. You always were. I could tell you some crazy stories too- I'm from the Bronx! Crazy history all over there.
I was 20/21 yo when the Frankston serial killer was murdering young women & girls. I took self defence glasses and bought a large knife. Very few women would walk alone at night during that time. He is also a VERY strong suspect of murdering Sarah Mclellan who disappeared from Kananook. Denyer should never ever be allowed out!!
Eek. Cheers from Melbourne
@@sheriashley7692he didn’t kill Sarah. That was a whole other story. You can find it on TH-cam.

I’ve lived in Melbourne my whole life, and have watched Coffeehouse for years now. I was genuinely so excited to see you made a stop here & reported on cases I’ve known about forever. I can’t thank you enough! I hope you enjoyed our beautiful city & had some truly amazing coffee experiences!
same, born and raised here, it was surreal to see this video on one of my fav channels
As a melbournian, thankyou for covering these cases with compassion and bringing light to them. I was only young when the Frankston murders happened, but living in the suburb I remember my parents and others fear and anxiety about what was going on and reliving it last year due to the parole hearing...
Yes, it was a shocking time back then. I didn't live in Frankston but I lived in Melbs and still do. God Bless all those lost. 😢
I like that you have gone to the actual location, instead of just staying in the studio. Having a natural background makes it much nicer even though it's a very sad subject. Very interesting you did 3 cases at once as well.
I never leave comments on true crime channels. However, I absolutely love this new video format. It is like other youtubers who travel to significant places to document and tell the story. You have done an excellent video. I'd love to see more like this.
Well said! 100000000% agree! ❤
I'm stunned how even around the streets he's able to talk like an AI generated voice, so mono-tone and blank

It’s kinda difficult to say with such awful and senseless killings…but you are so respectful in your delivery. You did a really great job on this video. I like the long format and being able to come along with you.
It’s like a Coffeehouse Crime Field Trip.
Thank you for telling the story of Jill Meagher. I stopped watching the news once they found her deceased and that reptile looking man that killed her history was revealed. Absolutely heartbreaking and infuriating. He should not have been free to roam the streets with a history like that. What a loss of such a vibrant, beautiful and happy young lady.
I'm enjoying the change in setting, and backdrop. Love all your work, but it's awesome to see you out in the world!
Also super excited for this new series idea! You're incredible, thank you for sharing!
As a Melburnian, I remember the first two cases covered, but not the one about Jake. All are horrible, and so tragic and I thank you for your kind and compassionate presentation of them. I am glad you came to the city with the best coffee, and I hope you enjoyed your stay here.
The vast majority of murdered and missing people are men and boys, including in Australia. Unfortunately they receive relatively little interest or attention.
I didn’t know melburnian was a word😅
Will never forget all these victims of Paul Denyar. Such a tragic time in Melbourne's SE.
Thanks for sharing them so respectfully🙏💙🇦🇺
The longer format that includes a number of stories within an area or city works really well. It's great to see you on the spot across the various crime scene locales! This is definitely something that I will be sure to watch and the three choices from Melbourne were expertly executed and gives us plenty to anticipate and look forward to seeing you release over the coming weeks and months!
When I watched a documentary on Paul Denyer, when they took him to the crime scenes, he definitely showed no remorse, and the way he talked about the crimes, all I could think about, how casually talking about the crimes.
Thanks for all the true crime stories you do.
I also like the new format.
I really like seeing you incorporating travel into the videos. It really does bring a new level of depth to the storytelling.
as someone who has grown up in melb, tysm for doing a whole video set in this city! rest in peace to all victims
Whoooohooo, what's better than a Coffee House crime episode? An hour long Coffee House Crime binge!
Adrian is great hey!
Excellent format and as a Melbournian, thank you for a glowing recommendation of my city, but an insightful dive into 3 cases that are never forgotten 😊
Jake seems kind of forgotten.
20:57 " i guess you could say, monsters seldom get along with each other" that part made me have a hearty laugh 😂, thank you. Chicago Illinois rocks with this content 😎

Thank you for showing us all how much you appreciate and care for your craft. A lot of channels in this sphere rely on only bodycam footage and AI narration. But the effort you put in is insane and I feel your passion through the screen. Please never stop.sending love from the states!
Or even worse yet, stock footage 🤨
Yes ! This os so important to me. The REAL DEAL

You have one of the most soothing and calming voices I’ve ever heard. I find myself drifting into every story that you narrate and even if the actual story isn’t the kind that I normally enjoy, I’m unable to leave it until you’ve finished.
You really have got me through some very very tough times and I sincerely appreciate you for that. Please don’t ever stop hosting this kind of content as you would be sorely missed by so many. Also please include your beautiful cat more too 😻😻..

RIP to all the victims! May all the families of the innocent victims find peace! Adrian thanks for the awesome work that you do!
You conduct your videos with compassion and focus on the victims. THANK YOU ❣️
Adrian, that was wonderful.
Thank you for showcasing my beautiful Melbourne so well.
Thank you also for sensitively telling the stories of 5 young people who deserve to remembered. Those who harmed them can rot away in jail. Forever of no consequence.
thank you for being one of the only few true crime channels on yt to cover crimes respectfully and with an appropriate tone towards the situation. love this format, hopefully we see more in the future!
I always enjoy your videos - saw this one pop up and got super excited as I grew up in Langwarrin (right next to Frankston) and know a lot about the murders Paul Denyer committed. He was targeting attacks at women when my mum was pregnant with me, the whole area was absolutely terrified and it’s lucky he was caught promptly. Thank you for covering this and for your great research!!
As a Melbournian, I loved hearing this video about our city! I really like the idea of city centric videos - more of them please! And I think it's epic you actually came here to film on location. And there isn't a better city in the world for a channel named Coffeehouse Crime to film in. :D
Proud Victorian who grew up about an hour outside of Melbourne and a half hour outside of Frankston - thank you for being so very respectful in regards to the victims and their family/friends 🤍 we certainly do have a dark side but our city is absolutely beautiful, and goodness can be found in even the worst of times! Aussies know how to band together and help each other out, especially when things get really rough 🤍
Thanks for covering my home city of Melbourne with the same compassion and sensitivity you do with all the videos of true crime you report on Adrian I can't wait for Coffeehouse Crime next case thanks again Adrian you truly are a wonderful caring human being.
I thought murder and such was illegal in Melbourne?

The format is a good choice, the stories are always compelling. Great job Adrian!
Can’t bear to watch, this story is very well known and it’s so close to home
I am so proud of how far your channel has come Adrian! I'm loving the outdoor videos, you're forever dope!
This is an amazing format, Holy wow.
The difference between this and crazy hair covid Adrian is amazing.
I normally don't have the patience for long videos, but I have to say I really enjoyed this presentation. (Particularly liked the tour of Melbourne; have always wanted to visit Australia.) Being right there on the scene, I bet the impact hits more like a personal connection.
Love this format, looks very high quality and professional, almost a blend of journalistic/news anchor live report and documetary style video. Well done! I know they can't all be done like this, but this was really well put together, Adrian.
Also, I laughed out loud when you called the guy in the first story a f***head for sharing your name, you're so chill & laid back I didn't expect that lol.
Really well done, sympathetic and respectful. Thank you. Stay safe everyone.
Loved the new format! Nice to see you exploring the actual areas. If you come to Japan I’m happy to help you get around!
THanks for this whole episode! I hear you're a member of our Australian society?! Gratz, and welcome! Jil's case was the one that blew up the Australian rage to no end. I mentioned this case to you middle last year, so im glad you came over and covered it.
I LOVE this format. I recently have been fond of vising "Filming Locations" of different places, there's a different vibe when you attach yourself geographically as you said. Like even traveling, I went to Akihabara in Japan and realized that the freedom of walking around in a blocked off street on Sunday was after a couple of years the Tomohiro Kato incident you covered a couple years back.
This was a very interesting video with the added bonus of you being on location, Adrian. I’m an American living in New Zealand. I really like all of the unique stories you cover from places other than the USA. I hope you’ll cover more locations in Europe and Asia. I also love Melbourne after experiencing the city on a long weekend with my husband to see the Harry Potter play there. It’s a fascinating city in that old buildings are mixed in with modern buildings. The beautiful designs, colours and murals on some buildings make it feel quirky and fun. Great city. Australia is home to some very shocking and unusual crimes, especially in and around Adelaide. It would be worth looking into those. Jill’s death was so utterly tragic and learning about her killer’s criminal history made it especially infuriating. I hope that monster never gets out of jail; I never trust that a life sentence will remain untouched after some time goes by and attitudes and laws change (case in point the current “reforms” to criminal justice in the USA). The serial killer is just terrifying and better never get out because he will always be a danger to others; some people can’t be rehabilitated. As for the missing man, the circumstances seem to indicate suicidal thoughts to me, but could also be the result of psychosis setting in for some reason. I hope his family gets answers before much longer. It must be agonising not knowing what happened to him. Take care of yourself, Adrian. Thanks for your hard work!
All your videos are of such a high quality and respectful retelling of the true crimes that have occurred.
Thanks for covering this in such a professional way. I would rather watch your videos on TV than the documentaries on there now. Ive heard of this case before, I'm from St Kilda and this really does re-awaken me to how different it was then to now. Thank you for your work!!
The Jill Maegher case struck a cord with the whole of Australia, she was just out with mates as a lot of us do at the end of a work week, and sadly on her way home she crossed paths with a monster. May she rest in peace😢😢
Loved to see the journey, experience, and the victims stories told in this manner. Haven't seen this before. Would definitely be happy to see more content of this kind.
Bringing the story on location is a great idea, both with multiple cases or one deep dive into a single one. Really digging this new format. And the beard.
On location reports are brilliant ! Seeing the actual locations provides me with a reality that in studio presentation can’t provide. I wonder if you feel like a reporter instead of a researcher who presents stories.
Also, I love the longer and multi “story” format.
Thank you Adrian!!!
Hi Adrian! I'm an Aussie with a keen love of coffee and true crime. I stumbled across your channel a few months back because my husband is also an Adrian ❤. If you want a story that gripped AU as a nation, you should cover the Daniel Morcombe story. This is one close to my heart as I lived in the same suburb as him growing up and he was only 3 years younger than me when tragedy stuck. I caught the same bus and now that I have twins of my own and still love in the area, it is a truly sad case. Welcome to visit the Sunshine Coast anytime
I really enjoyed this episode. There was a lot of work in this one. Plus the on location spots for each case.
Welcome to Melbourne Adrian.. How lovely to have you here ❤ thankyou for all your hard work in creating this channel. I especially love your little wink at the end when saying goodbye ❤ keep up the great work 👍 👏
I really enjoyed this format and the fact you were on location! I also love your usual format. Thanks for the all the effort to try something new :)
You do such an amazing job showing empathy and respect for all of the people in your stories. ❤
Such an incredible video! The style of story telling was amazing! Thank you for what you do Adrian.
A video like this would be great going state by state. As someone who lives in South Australia it would be incredible to see some cases from here but, I'm sure every state has its stories.
Love the multiple stories in a city. Being on location is just awesome. Love the 3 stories. Thank you.
I like the irl travel aspect of this video. As you said yourself grounding yourself in the location really makes a difference. The other true crime channels I watch haven't done something like this to my knowledge. I very much like this type of video, it should be a series.
You are good inside, outside, and all around. Thanks Adrian, for all your excellent hard work. Great job !
Hey Adrian, this new series is absolutely amazing. Great work 👍
Despite the horrific stories you had to tell, it was refreshing to see you in a different place, and outside. You obviously had a cameraman, and he needs to get some credit. Thank you, Adrian, again!

I love this series! Your videos are always well done but this change up is great!
Welcome to Melbourne Adrian! We’re so glad to have you. Now that you’re here, please remember that sex work is real work and we don’t use words like “prostitute” in this progressive city. We use the term “sex worker” which is politically correct. Aside from that, another excellent video. Looking forward to more ❤

thank you so much for shedding light and covering this cases. this video feels so personal since most of the places you were in this video is very familiar to me.

Every position is a dangerous position when a man is involved and you're a woman.
sorry bro but i don't think Melbourne is famous for it's coffee. In fact i just checked on Google different links with the reasons why Melbourne is famous and not even one mentions coffee.
Didn't have to fact check that as I'm pretty sure it's just a cheeky comment about how he drinks all the coffee everywhere he goes.
