GSU and G5 Miscomp

  • I had a massive attitude miscomp between the GSU ADHRS and G5. The autopilot tried to follow the G3X which started a 30 degree left hand bank. The miscomp then reverted autopilot authority to follow the G5 which was working correctly

      Either the mounting location or the GSU 25. I replaced it with a new unit, the mounting stayed in the same location, but we used full rubber for the mounting this time. So far so good🤞🏻

    It looks mirror opposite omen the angle. Can’t see outside, which one is correct? The G3X or G5?

      Exactly and if you were hand flying a 90° turn in IMC just before the faf at 1500 AGL it could turn deadly. In this instance the G5 was correct and fortunately I could look outside. Apparently when there’s a miss comp it defaults to displaying the G5 on the G3X which is why it self leveled

      Not yet. It’s very intermittent. Flying with a Garmin tech this week with his laptop plugged in.
