So uh, I wasn't expecting this challenge to be that short, I thought it would be a collection of minigames. The tie breaker was pretty fun to watch. It seems just like Sandile and Bowser, Mario is getting to be a little unlikeable in this remake, what can you do. And finally, save travels Louie.
Elimination predictions pre-video: There are a couple of characters who are likely going to be on the chopping block, namely Louie and Koopa Troopa. I think it's about time for Louie to go, as he's kinda floated through the competition. However, I wouldn't be surprised if he stays for a couple more challenges just cause of his lowkey status. Koopa Troopa is also up for the boot, but I hope some development is done with him as he's dodged elimination- what, 3 times now?? 3 separate times where he could've (and probably should've) been voted out, but he's still here. Can't help but root for him. People who I think are "comfortably" safe would be Bowser (presumably the main villain), Sandile (similar reason), Kirby (cast seems to like him), and Mario (I've been rooting for him throughout so I hope he wouldn't go so soon after the epicness of last episode's elimination). Luigi, Jigglypuff, Peach, and Fox could all potentially be voted out too, depending on how the challenge goes. Peach has been killing it lately, so I hope she stays as she's really proved her might recently. I don't really care much for Fox, but I bet he'll stay a bit longer. Same with Jigglypuff. Luigi could definitely be going home too, but I hope he stays a bit longer as I'm rooting for him. Overall, this was a lot of words to say that I think Louie will go home, or at least ought to. I'll check back at the end of the episode. Other comments while watching the video: I like how Mario is clearly remorseful after Yoshi's elimination. Generally, I enjoy when current competitors call back to previously eliminated ones. Additionally, it's a nice facet of character for Mario, who could've easily been nonchalant and blasé about the whole thing. Also, what?- Did the challenge just finish..? Less than 3 minutes into the video..? Like I said in the last comment section, I don't mind the challenges being menial or quick, but they should definitely take at least half of the video! Maybe an awesome elimination ceremony can redeem this for me, but I definitely think something else has to happen. There's no way an elimination ceremony takes this long. People are mad at Kirby for... winning the challenge? After being one of the most well liked members of the cast? Seems kinda random, but it's not the end of the world. (in reference to Bowser's forming of an alliance with Koopa and Kirby) Fox or Louie? And not Mario? Additionally, Bowser would almost definitely be voted out now if this was "realistic", but you could say that about any total drama season ever in regards to the villain. They stay because they're the villain, so I don't mind Bowser having a lil bit of a plot armor. Still don't get Mario not getting targeted, though, but maybe he's getting a little bit of the plot armor himself. Sandile also wants Louie out. Huh. I suppose that makes sense, if Louie really has annoyed Sandile that much. But I'd think that Sandile would want to keep Louie as a pawn or an extra vote. Overall, this is probably all just building up to Louie's elimination. Feel like this could've been handled better (the challenge.), but oh well. I'm not gonna be mad at someone going home who I wanted to go home anyway. I guess I should probably stop commenting on these odd choices by the contestants. Cause even besides Bowser, I feel like Mario would have more pressing issues than Fox and Jigglypuff. Well, maybe not actually. I don't think he knows about Sandile's villainy. I don't know how I feel about Mario's sudden personality change... I guess it makes sense, maybe a reactionary change thanks to the very close call last challenge. So yeah, don't hate it. Just kinda sad to see cause I like Mario, though I doubt he'll go home or anything. Welp, time for the ceremony. Seems like it'll be Fox, Jigglypuff, or Louie... out of those three, I'll stick with my first guess and say Louie. Wouldn't be surprised to see Fox go, though. During elimination ceremony: Again, don't know how I feel about this sudden change in personality from Mario... though, again, I guess it makes sense in character. Mario better not go home though. Louie has run his course, and Mario still has fuel in the tank. Good for Peach. Honestly, she might become my favorite to win. Hopefully this serves as a wake up call to Mario. Why is the tiebreaker a lot more advanced and interesting than the actual challenge 💀thinking about it if the tiebreaker and challenge were swapped this would actually make a lot more sense; the real challenge fits well as a tiebreaker. Post tiebreaker/ceremony/whatever: Pretty awesome tiebreaker, loved the concept. And I accidentally spoiled myself by seeing the thumbnail of the next episode... one of the disadvantages of not watching this live. Bye bye Louie. Decent character, just kinda outstayed his welcome imo. Would've much preferred to see King D, Yoshi, Drifloom, hell even Poochyena instead. Though, that may just be because of my personal belief that Poochyena got out way too early. Though Mario has been kinda obnoxious this episode, I don't think he was being a jerk atm (around 12:55)..? He wasn't even really gloating; imo, that's a justified reaction to have after skinning by 2 tiebreakers, and serves as a nice message to his enemies. Either way, now that Mario's true colors are revealed and Sandile's moving onto his next potential target, something tells me we're about to reach the climax VERY soon.
