I love to make these simulation videos for you and I am happy that you all like them a lot! The graphics of Arma are very good, it almost looks like in real life. Rather simulations than real war!

I don't think the Sopwith Camel was quite as maneuverable as today's planes.
But those planes were far slower and less manoeuvrable than the fighter jets of today.
The older planes only flew a quarter/ third of the speed. I couldn't imagine what a dog fight at 1500 mph would look like

It is a game. But in real wars civilians are the real victims. There are people that call it colateral damage. Imagine living in the middle of a conflict and anti aircraft rounds hit your home killing your kids, your wife, your dog and your house is destroyed.

Not just high speed, but constantly reworking apoapsis and pariapsis of the moving craft from a moving platform. All rough, thank the Gods fir the systems that run this on the fly.

The real CIWS is WAY more accurate than this thing. That thing was maneuvering slowly; it wouldve been annihilated almost instantly.
Keep in mind it has a greater than 50% kill rate against an 8-inch diameter artillery shell moving at greater than mach 2
And the fact they simulated the pilot falling to safety is a nice lil touch 🤌

That wasn't a waste, there was enough lead in the air to put the pilot in defensive maneuvers and not attacking the ship, and the cannon finally out maneuvered him. As many rounds as it takes, worry about a round count, you will have a body count to go along with it

But even if you fire that gun for a 10 minutes to take down 1 jet, that's cheaper then the cost of the jet you brought down... So it's worth it even from a financial perspective.

The c-ram is computer guided, a person doesn't aim. Also the jets moving easily 300+ kmh, not as simple as just leading the target.
@@dackjaniels4203 ah, sorry for my ignorance. I thought I read about a sim and assumed it was game related. Like those anti-aircraft guns in Battlefield series. I feel like if they did some more programming it wouldn't waste as much. There were times it was going in a straight line and it was struggling to shoot it. Would involve a lot of physics though and would have to calculate in real time to weather conditions and predictions on movement. I'm not smart enough for all that and I'm sure AI like that would be a pain to create though. Still made me sad it couldn't lead :(

@@demostheneslocke4788 it's constantly gaining and losing speed as well as changing direction, less lead then more then settle and then more or less lead and then accounting for direction change. It's also harder when the rounds lose energy from drag causing even more of an issue that needs to be calculated for
