Located just an hour’s drive from Kununurra along the iconic Gibb River Road. After a couple of quick photo stops, we arrived early at our first destination, the beautiful Zebedee Thermal Springs. A natural oasis nestled beneath shady pandanus trees and livistona palms, these springs are comprised of several rocky pools and small waterfalls ... an early morning dip was a must!
We then dropped in to ElQuestro Station for a coffee and to check out the campgrounds, before heading to Emma Gorge Trail. Emma Gorge is one of the best known and spectacular gorges of the Kimberley. At the end of the 1.6km self-guided trail we were rewarded with an impressive droplet waterfall which trickled over the towering 65m cliffs into an icy, rocky plunge pool … we couldn’t resist a swim in the refreshing water.
ElQuestro is the heart of the Kimberley ... we loved it!
Time to hit the road!
