there's a LOT of kashmiris in pakistan, especially in punjab. a major population of lahore (or eastern punjab in general) is ethnically kashmiri, and there's a blend of old and new traditions that have evolved over past few centuries (or more?), not just post 1947. a lot of prominent pakistanis are kashmiris e.g. Allama Iqbal, the sharifs, and many more.

We are migrant Kashmiris from Srinagar and my mother was one of the few people who could cook authentic Kashmiri cuisine. I am so happy that you covered . I am not in Pakistan anymore but would love to invite you for authentic Kashmiri cuisine specially kashmiri tea and you will know what is sold in the name of kashmiri tea is just Crap. Best wishes.

Usually gushtaba comes in the end in transitional kashmiri feast. The Kashmiri version of Kofta is called “ rista “ but the texture is way more different than kofta. The list goes on and on and will take a long time to explain. Hareesa is breakfast dish in the winter with fresh tarka of oil and roasted onion on top and small degchi kababs in . Eaten with girdas or kulchas.
