I don't understand hating someone for hating a soda, of all things. I mean, personally, I love Mountain Dew. Especially Voltage (but in Canada, we don't have many of the special flavours, just Voltage, Code Red, and sometimes White Out). But, I respect your opinion for not liking it :)
You should try Ski Citrus Soda from Excell Bottling Co. It's originally from Illinois/Indiana but was bought by Excell who also bought Double Cola which makes it the 3rd Citrus Soda made in TN.
Mountain Dew Citrus Blast, the UK version, isn't all that different from the original US recipe, the differences include using cane sugar instead of high fructose corn syrup, the taste is rather similar, however it has a stronger kick of citrus and isn't as sweet as the US variant, I prefer the UK Mountain Dew, it tastes like Mountain Dew Throwback, but it still has a nice syrupy texture and is soft enough to drink without getting the effects of overly carbonated drinks. Mountain Dew in the UK is the same drink and isn't an energy drink, although it was initially marketed as one back in 2010, it is now viewed as a soft drink and is therefore sold with other sodas instead of energy drinks. Personally it's my favourite drink of all time, I like the US version, but I prefer Mountain Dew Citrus Blast.
