I really didn't think Michigan would beat Texas, but I hoped our defense would keep it respectable.
The defense was lost in space, and we turned the ball over 3 times.

Texas went 5-7 then 8-4 then to the CFP for guys to give up on coaching this early is crazy. Sark's first year we'd score but lacked depth, so we lost games in the second half. The second year depth got better but we couldnt finish. The third year we lacked talent on the backend and teams tossed the ball all over the yard. This year is a more complete team. We are deep enough to play our base 2-4-5, play a 3-4, a 4-3, play cover matching zones, pass off recievers, play press man, and so on. Is Texas gonna win it all, hell, I don't know. However, I do know we are capable of winning in more than one way and that gives us a shot. Michigan will get back there eventually. As Sark always say it's more about the Jimmies and Joes than it is about the Xs and Os. Good luck going for and Hook Em🤘🏿

Speaking for myself only I’ll answer the question of why are some fans wanting to see Orji get a chance. We have been told the thing that separated Warren and Orji is that Warren was a better passer. Well what we are seeing now is Warren consistently doesn’t give the play time to develop, he is stuck on his first reads and he throws into double and triple coverage which leads to turnovers. So if he’s not as good at throwing the ball during the games than how much worse can it be to let Orji throw the ball. And at least Orji has another dynamic skill to help get him out of trouble. But as long as the fans never get to see what he can do we can only go by what the coaches are telling us. Unfortunately what the coaches are saying and what we are seeing has not lined up very well this year. So yeah a lot of fans are going to think that Orji might be the better option.

It looks like Rich Rod or Brady Hoke s coaching again. They will beat Arkansas State. It’s over! Great memories last year! Jim flirting with the NFL hurt us have a qb right now, and him take our D.C. hurting us even more. This team needed an experienced coach. They should have got a Bill O’Brien or someone else. Sloppiness: penalties, poor tackling, poor communication this all comes from poor coaching. Moore, Wink, etc have a ton of work to do. There's plenty of talent on the field especially on D. Although I think we miss Rod Moore and Sainristil big time and Barrett and Colson were much better in coverage especially. Texas is a NC caliber team and they toyed with us and exposed all of our weaknesses. Lets see what thei HIGH $$ coaching staff can do this week. Pressure is on. Go Blue!

Michigan fans shouldn't be too hard on themselves or the team. Quinn is a very good and experienced qb under Sark. Most other QBs would have been less successful. Texas has a good defense and it did what it had to do against an inexperienced line and QB. Warren is super competitive and it will take a few more games for him to find himself. They pretty much shut Texas down in the 2nd half except for the TD in the 3rd.

@bryanmccall3888 No I don't buy that. Michigan made adjustments defensively to slow Texas down. I'm positive Texas would have loved to have scored 50 on Michigan. To only get one touchdown in the 2nd half because that's what you were aiming for is BS.

@@abel78750 You didn't watch the game or never played at a high level or never coached. It is obvious to anyone with a football intellect that Texas took their foot of the pedal in the 2nd half. Don't be such a lazy ass, do some research. This one stat alone proves you don't know what you're talking about. In the first half Ewers threw 18 passes, in the 2nd half he only threw SIX passes. why didn't he throw at least 12?? Texas had already proved their dominance. ALSO you're still thinking about a 4 team playoff instead of the 12 team. When it was only 4, teams had build a resume by running up the score. NOW the top teams don't have to do that. You win your conference championship you get a first round bye, Michigan will still have to run up scores to sneak in at #12.
