Honestly, I've never really been into cage. But during that match I wished they'd call an audible to have cage win with a screwy finish so we can have a round 2 with good build where cage is the spotlight not Christian.

I love how since swerve won the aew world championship all the heel stuff he did in the past to get him there is catching up to him which makes me even more excited for when hangman returns.

Not horrible at all. If anything, he got a heavy road ahead of him with all the heel things he did in the past coming back to bite him. Swerve vs Christian Cage is perfect from when he invaded Hamgman's home. Swerve is a villain by nature, so this babyface champ run has been pretty uniquely awesome since he doesn't need to be fully face to be cheered. The dude is still break arms and using chains and cinder blocks as weapons. He's going to conquer all that leading up to Hangman, Keith Lee, or MJF. Hopefully not Ospreay yet as i don't want Swerve to drop the belt as early as UK
With the team AEW vs team Elite stuff, you'd want a seasoned yet still sadistic Swerve to built up for team AEW. The eventual Hangman team up just for the same cause will be legendary

I saw a old video of Swerve and Cage tearing down the house in the indies recently. They didn't disappoint here.
Swerve Strickland is one of the best wrestlers in AEW with the likes of Bryan Danielson, Claudio Castagnoli, and Samoa Joe. He deserves a long reign as World Champion for his hard work.
Yeah, tough as nails, great technician, acrobatic and a great athlete. Creative moveset too.

Swerve is not a generic babyface. He's still a cunning heel but the crowd is with him. Can't wait for Hangman page's return and continue their bloody incomplete business.
I've never seen Swerve wrestle before but it's hard to see a babyface attacking his defeated opponent with a chair after a match. I'm not hugely into AEW so I might be missing some backstory, but on the face of it, it's hard for me to feel sorry for Swerve after Christian's lackeys did a number on him.

I have no issue with Swerve succeeding (he'll probably need to leave the mud show for that) but AEW are completely derailing him at the moment. He felt a far bigger deal to the company chasing the title.

@WhutThu Anytime, friend! I also had to ask myself why something feels different about wrestling to me. It's because I wasn't watching it how kid me watched it anymore. I was thinking about future matches. Kid me was in the moment, in the storyline. When I went back to that and it worked for me, I decided to share it with fans across the interwebs to help some of them get that feeling back.
