    Have you considered researching the 3D Conformal Geometric Algebra $\mathbb{G}(4, 1, 0)$? The same transformations can be obtained by “sandwiching” an object with a motor, which is the composition of a rotor and a translator. This algebra allows for additional advantages, for example it can represent objects such as lines and spheres that you can perform the “meet” operation on to find their intersection.
