  • Many dreams are night parables - stories with special meaning. John E. Thomas breaks down people's dreams, helping them better understand what message God is trying to convey through their dreams.

Want to start understanding your dreams better?
Our Dream Elements book might be for you! Where most dream dictionaries tell you what to think about the different elements, Dream Elements by John E. Thomas tells you how to think about them. An element can change depending on the context, so learning how to think metaphorically is an important key, giving you a much better chance of determining what your dream means.

I got the same revelation too. The Heb 12:1-2, then Matt 7:13-14, Psalm 119:105, I thought this was about the Christian life's journey. It isn't easy but we have a cloud of witnesses cheering us on and praying for us. We have the Holy Spirit guiding us and the Word of God illuminating our way. No matter how precarious we shall make it. I thought it was a dream to affirm and encourage the dreamer.

    Thanks for the new post!!!
I had a very similar dream to this a couple weeks ago. Perfect timing.
But mine involved descending a steep high flight of ancient stairs, being terrified of falling. My friends went ahead of me. There were treasures down there people come from all over to see. I don’t recall how I got down but I did. And then once again my friends went ahead of me, for not being able to go into amuseum room that had treasures bc there were giant roaches all over the floor leading into there and I was barefoot. I know this means there is some corruption and I am unprepared, but not sure how. Later a child/blonde girl helped me find bright neon green inflatable shoes like boots or high tops that I’d be able to step over them with, but I never actually went in that room before my dream ended. Instead I went into the room on the right which was dimly lit blue and was a display of dead and dying bodies from the plague era (I’m a nurse), the bird face doctors were there and there was an ocean wave (like a kindergarten play prop at first, then became real and interdimensional) that was carrying the sick and dying away, the “hospital” room was crowded with 15-20 beds in one room and I remember thinking “how on earth could those nurses back then have cared for so many people?” And I felt the weight of their burden and also the burden of the suffering. It was like a scene from hell.

I found this video so helpful; it's so great practicing with others! I also really felt for how you were being targeted by 'Le-oo Ooh Noo' and thought I'd use what John Thomas is sharing to try and bless you by attempting to interpret your dream (although I'm sure you probably already know what it means for you). I very much could be wrong, but hope it's of some help! - read interpretation below

I believe the first part of this dream is an encouraging one. You are journeying in the things of God, which can be scary and overwhelming but you’re not alone - you’re actually surrounded by a good company of friends (possibly the angelic) who are leading by example; they’re ‘going ahead’ of you’ and are uncovering ‘valuable and hidden treasure.’ Some bits of treasure (riches in Christ) are easier to discover than others; you said you couldn’t recall how you scaled down the stairway, for example, which I think was God’s grace bringing instant victory. However, the museum room was blocked by giant roaches (fear & death) and what you really needed were ‘shoes of peace’ to trample over the roaches and access the hidden treasure. I believe, this is the Lord teaching you how to partner with him to overcome fear and walk in peace - the reward definitely exists on the other side.
The second part of the dream is more mysterious. I believe the blonde haired child to possibly be angelic assistance again to help find those shoes of ‘neon green’ or in other words, the ability to ‘walk in radiant life.’ However, you’ve said you were drawn to a different room to the right; which I believe represents you being drawn from you ‘supernatural quest’ (as in the first part of the dream) to the more natural elements of your life (you mentioned being a nurse). I believe the second part of the dream is indicating the purpose behind everything you’re experiencing and receiving from God. In the dream, you discover a ‘hospital room,’ which I believe represents the medical profession operating from a worldly logic & wisdom - it’s dimly lit, and full of displays of death and sickness. However, I believe God is involved as there is an ocean wave that is at first a childlike symbol before becoming a living, multi-dimensional, nurturing stream. I believe these are the living waters of God, running alongside the medical profession in caring for those in pain.
You’re left asking questions about the medical profession’s strategy and I believe this is an invitation from God to discover his Spirit ways and Divine wisdom & healing within the medical profession and is most likely the reason, you’ve experiencing the angelic and the supernatural in your life.

You don't NEED it. Don't believe the lie that you're insufficient. Cosmetics is a Billion dollar industry that ROBS the poor. How cause that money should be used for the kingdom of God. Not for your vanity or your pride. True beauty comes from letting our light so shine before men that they will SEE YOUR GOOD WORKS glorify GOD (not your pretty face)in heaven. We must go low so HE can be raised up.We give HIM all glory. You are a beautiful Beloved daughter of the King. Never forget that you are loved as you are.

Le-oo Ooh Noo I know you meant well by saying all that.... but what you just did is what is wrong with the body of Christ... you just completely JUDGED me inappropriately and incorrectly. first of all, I don’t wear makeup everyday like I used to before I followed Christ more closely. That photo on my channel icon was taken AT A WEDDING... I often go weeks without wearing it.
SECONDLY people have different opinions about makeup throughout the world nations and generations ... I don’t know who you are or what background you come from. But in the United States, wearing SOME makeup in public is considered a sign that a lady has good hygiene and takes care of herself as part of a daily habit routine of self care... in the workplace, a person is considered unprofessional appearance if they are not wearing a touch of makeup to cover distracting imperfections of acne or whatever. Wearing makeup in the United States IS NOT WITCHCRAFT... I’m sure some people might think they are seductive by doing it, but that isn’t makeup’s fault, that is the filth of the persons heart alone. Makeup is a useful tool to help us communicate with others that we care about ourselves and that we are professional/etiquette.
If you’re from Africa or the Middle East I can see why you want to WRONGLY judge me as a witch and an insecure woman with no self worth, because the value of makeup and the purposes of make up are very different culturally, traditionally and religiously ...
Again, if you weren’t so rude and inappropriate by your first comment being that i was a witch, I would say that I appreciate your concern and heart desire to help.
But I can’t tell if your comments were motivated by your flesh and self righteousness or by legitimate concern for my soul and life, and how something small and meaningless like makeup could possibly corrupt my entire life to the point you would say hurtful comments about me...
Please check your own heart and try to do a better job of representing Christ. These comments do not bring Him honor anymore than the Pharisees brought Him honor.

Le-oo Ooh Noo also, I agree that the cosmetic industry is financially unethical. So in that case you should also know I spend my money on skin care , not on makeup... I have had the makeup I have had for years. I bought high quality makeup and it has lasted me more than 10 years and is nearly the same as when I bought it and I take good care of everything I have. The only thing I buy when it runs out is powder to absorb oil, and mascaras. Occasionally an eyeliner but less than every 2 years.
I didn’t owe you any of these explanations, and I am NOT trying to convince you of anything. I am just telling you all this to show you how wrong you were... your comments contradict each other.

Thank you. What about going into jewelry store and man behind counter offers a ring that seems to be made of wood, with a head/face, and strings coming out of top of head. Least bright of all other jewelry.

ioanna how did u feel in the dream about the man? That will matter. The ring could be a signer ring which gives a person the same power and prestige as the owner. It may not look like much to you, but looks can be deceiving. When I think of strings and from a head , I think of the mind of Christ and being connected to Him. He is the head of the church.

This is very helpful! THanks for sharing.
Aslo I'm curious about the BRacelets vs Necklace. Is it possible that Carman's ministry is something involving the hands, or her work/ service towards others (Bracelets are close to the hands) where as the others she's known on this path have a different ministry - something involving the heart, maybe encouragement? Since necklaces are worn over the heart?
Just a thought as I'm new to this! Thanks again
