I pace my putts out every time. Then I have a good feel for how hard to hit the ball. Every 5 feet up hill I add an extra step to my total. 10 feet up hill, I add 2 so the distance is 12. Every 5 feet down hill I subtract 1 step off the total. 10 feet down hill, I subtract 2 so the distance is 8. Of course steeper slopes and green speed may change the add or subtract up or down hill may require adding or subtracting 2 or 3 for every 5 steps. You can only know for sure by pre-round testing on the practice green.
