Don’t Tell the Bride is a wedding show like no other; instead of the wedding you want, it’s the wedding you’ll never forget - hopefully for all the right reasons! Each episode follows a couple through the entire process of organising a wedding, but the twist is that the bride has absolutely no involvement. For better or for worse, she has agreed to hand overall control of the wedding to the groom. She has no idea where she’s getting married, who is turning up or even what she is wearing until the big day itself. The couples are separated for the month leading up to the big day and the groom has to pull off the whole thing in secret. Will the relationship survive the strain? Will the groom succeed in pulling together the perfect wedding? And is his idea of perfection anywhere near hers?

So many of these grooms take 5 guys to a three or four day vacation……I thought the money was supposed to be spent on the WEDDING not a bachelor party…..

Did he really expect the best man left behind to organise and not only that but fund his hen do for his bride to be ? And he is bewildered as to why this guy quit ? He took the one best man with him but expected the other to do all the hard work back home, whilst they have a jolly, what a joke !!
He said the cake was supposed to be symbolic and yet it had him, sitting by himself, on top where he was beheaded and crushed after the cake sat unprotected for an 8 hour drive in the back of a cargo van. And he had originally expected it to be edible 5 days after he picked it up. Yes, the cake was definitely symbolic.

So, he picked up the cake five days before and then drove it however far and then went on a cruise for Five days??? Before the wedding. What on earth??

Imagine one friend going on a cruise, while you're kicked off as not worthy to go with them and told to organise his future wife's hen do instead all by yourself. Groom seems like a dingbat and his fiance deserves to know what a selfish guy he is before she marries him.

So many of the grooms on this program splurge on themselves and their groomsmen and leave the bride and her bride's maids struggling. I know they aren't supposed to communicate directly during the program, but don't you think if they knew they'd been accepted onto the show, they would talk about what they wanted and what their expectations were beforehand?
@@Luinthil so I know most do discuss all of this beforehand BUT... the grooms are to selfish and weren't actually LISTENING to their partner. That's also why so many end up divorced shortly after the show airs. It's actually really sad.

That cake shop needs to invest in better boxes. If a real bride picked a cake up in that box, there'd be hell to pay.

Depends if it was a fruit or sponge cake. I am guessing Sponge as fruit cakes last longer and usually hold their shape quite well.

Rule number one. If you're going to have a cake, make sure somebody in the front seat is holding the cake. Never put the cake in the backseat especially when you have a lot of heavy things in the back of a truck or a van or whatever cuz that cake will definitely be destroyed and then you got to go with option two

Honestly, that is such a pointless take. Not all men are clueless. Men who truly love their women know their preferences it's not even a question. On the other hand, more self absorbed men lack the awareness to consider their partners interests

It's a rare man that can plan these things. But to expect them to know what goes into planning a wedding. I've never seen the show, so do they have any kind of guidance? This is bizarre.
The producers want the show to be as chaotic as possible and encourage the grooms to go over the top (at least in the newer seasons). They likely choose couples who they believe will create the most drama, and arrange for certain things to go wrong.

Not much of a friend to let down the groom at the last minute when he’s miles away, quite rotten behaviour.
The Groom was not financing it well and blamed the Best Man for not telling him about the Dresses etc when it was his responsibility.
