I think your Helicopter is broken
Similar to the design commonly used throughout history that they believed for decades could not be flown upside down. What would they think in the 1960's if I told them a man could make it sing and dance without even touching it... they'd think I was nuts! =D

Should wear a helmet especially the dudes off to the side of him. Nobody remembers the guy that got fucking decapitated by his helicopter in New York? Fuck man.. One small mistake (and yes this guy can make a mistake) and someone is dead. There are so many possibilities of something going wrong (technical, human error) and everyone's standing around like he's god of the control.

bunny sniper i thought the same thing.there are some moves that the heli should not be able to hover without gravity pulling it down to the ground and yet it doesn't? I fly helis and i still dont get how he does certain things.i even fly simulator on computer.he is good

Can someone please explain in really SIMPLE words how does it fly upside down? Did he change the rotating direction so quick or the angle of the rotors or what
+3bonavista Hi, when the heli is in normal flight the leading edge of the blades moves up for positive pitch, so when you turn the heli upside down the throttle stick is moved towards the bottom of the radio making the leading edge move down, but because the heli is now upside down the leading edge is now pointing up making the heli go up while it is upside down.

The blades are attached to a rotatable grip which can be used to adjust the pitch (angle of attack). This makes the blades direct the air in either direction. When the pilot wants to fly upside down, he gives the helicopter negative pitch rather than the usual positive pitch.
Do a youtube search for 3d helicopter flying. There are hundreds more of these "fake" flights. ;)

I don't understand how a helicopter can fly upside down?
+ncode03 In laymans terms, just know that when it's upside down, its still blowing wind down, giving it lif up away from the ground, it does this by adjusting the main rotor blades' angle of attack, so basically the blades are pushing wind in the opposite direction when the chopper is upside down.
+ncode03 You have something called angular momentum. And you can change the size of the angular momentum by changing to a bigger motor. You also need to use a helicopter with collective pitch if you want to fly upside-down.

pretty much no. the g forces alone would kill the pilot. Im not sure if there is enough power to be able to do anything remotely close plus real helicopters are not setup the same way.

Ben Sparks those blades are carbon fiber, basically light weight metal without being metal. And trust me, they are sharp enough. You could lose a finger or a hand to those blades.

Without a doubt, this man has spent hours and hours practicing, and I'm sure it's not easy to master the controls. It's still dumb. The whole flipping it around in crazy fashion like the thing has epilepsy is old in about 15 seconds. It's the same thing over and over again and again like a broken record. Look how I can flip it this way, now look how I can flip it that way, now faster, now here's the same thing 50 more times. I get having to control it, and practicing and giving lots of time to doing it. It's still boring as heck after 15 seconds.

A far better, impressive and appealing demonstration would be pretending that his RC helicopter is actually a skateboard, and start trying to emulate skateboard tricks in the arena. The surrounding walls of that pool look like ramps to me. Fly it really low to the ground.. Lift the head when you approach the ramp, "jump" up at a good looking velocity, perform trick in air, "fall" close to the ground, continue. Now that would show off some serious RC and eye/movement coordination skills as well, and it wouldn't be boring as fuck and most importantly wouldn't look like a piece of machinery having epilepsy.

Guitar? sure its hard, but its just a guy plucking strings over and over. Skateboarding? the guys just rolling around flipping his board. After 15 seconds i get it, the boards gonna flip, neeeeext.
Rob Walker I suppose if you want to create a continuum of boring then it's a matter of degrees then. So, using your example, we'll just say that basketball or other sports are significantly less boring, while as the repetition here is so tightly wound in that the variable options paired with the time between executions creates a quickly descending attention deficit. . .of about 15 seconds. I can be bored with basketball or football for at least several hours.
Fetor Forex I would argue the vast majority of people who watch RC trick flying only do so for a minute or two at a time. If we're going to be that technical the "wow" factor of the first 15 seconds alone is the equivalent of an amazing first quarter of any football game time wise. Now staying power is lacking but It definitely doesn't strike me as more boring than alot of things.
