I 100% agree that RightStuf does go overboard with packaging but I like when they do that. You can't be too sure with shipping companies and the mailman these days. It is BS that they call this an anniversary collection but they skimp out on the case. On top of that they're missing some from the series.
This was such a disaster of a release. It sold out everywhere after the initial preorder and there's still no word on whether or not this will be coming back in stock or not. I find this ridiculous too because the anime classics is oop and if this set ends up being limited how the hell is anyone supposed to buy this show?
The crazy thing is apparently this did receive a restock. 2-3 weeks back RightStuf received their initial shipment and that wasn't enough to fulfill all preorders. Shortly before this Amazon removed preorders because they sold out too. Then RS received their second and final shipment last week, mailed them all out and sold out yet again two days before release. Amazon is now unavailable as of yesterday too. Both waves sold out before release.
All I want is the new OVAs! Ain't no way I was gonna spend $100+ for the new material. Already own the steelbooks. No clue if they'll ever sell it on its own and highly doubt someone would sell it individually on the used market.
I like how the Blu-Ray front covers are based in the manga Kanzenban covers: BD1 is based in KVol.1, BD2 is KVol.3, BD3 is KVol.4, and BD4 is KVol.2 and the BD for the OVAs is KVol.10.
It looks pretty cool hoestly. Great vid. Will you be doing a video talking about the Cowboy Bebop 25th anniversary boxset? I have the Amazon boxset from years ago, I don't know if its worth getting it for collection purposes because it'll be rare.
Not including the Eizou Hakusho DVD set at the very least is BS. I can understand not having it on Blu-ray because maybe the masters can't be remastered to HD or something. But at the very least they could've included the 2 disc DVD that was put out over ten years ago. There's simply no excuse for that. Poltergeist Report must have some licensing issues preventing them from releasing it.
It's weird because at first I thought they were done with DVD but then Dragon Ball GT gets a new re-release announced afterwards with what looks like new packaging (not the digibook they used before but a regular brick case similar to what Ed, Edd n Eddy got for it's new set from a few months back).
God the box looks so beautiful but once we start looking at the presentation of what’s inside and included…. 😢

I’m going to have to replace a blu ray case because Best Buy just shipped it in a small box. I heard the pieces rattling inside before I opened it😑
Great unboxing video bdub! I switched all cases with the reversible cover arts those looks better imo

The steelbook (at least seasons 1-3) are still available new. You can also get season 4 on blu-ray
@@johnleone1996 That's not an option for most collectors because the packaging won't match and some people don't like steel books.
@@IchigoKurosaki People can say what they want about Funimation but this wouldn't have happened before the CR merge.
@@omegashenron8 What do you mean the packing won't match?
Dude im digging the background! Studio looking tight and as i said! Wish you continues success! hugs brother 🤟

It should have the only full length film with a 5.1 surround redub.
Same. I already have the 4 standard Blu-ray sets, and I really want those awesome OVAs
So happy, bullmoose randomly had 1 copy yesterday randomly I was able to snag. Already on its way and so pumped.
