Me too, Hansu did love her in his own way but he was very selfish. Isak helped her initially and gave her dignity by marrying her, but he fell in love with her and their son ( he was the baby’s dad although not biologically), and they had another son aswell, and I believe Sunja loved him aswell very much. I absolutely loved Isaks character in the book and it was so very tragic what happened to him and how his life was lost when Sunja and the boys were so young. He was a wonderful Husband and Father.

It feels like the TV series directly took out the characters from the book. The look and behave the same as described in the book....Although they have changed a few things here and there in the details of the story, as expected.....

Yeah, you are right. This is exacly what ı feel. I like kdramas more than western making because because they more naive. They can cut the scene after the kiss. I really don't care what position they start sex. Also there is no use that for story plot haha. Yeap,I think we can call it Westernism or Netflix effect.
