- I recorded Crowded House's historic induction into the ARIA Hall of Fame for anyone who didn't get to experience it (or just wants to watch it again). This is the complete 23-minute video, and includes a humorous intro by Flight of the Conchords, a recap of the Crowded House's history, the band's memorable acceptance speech, quality tributes by Missy Higgins (Fall at Your Feet) and Bernard Fanning (Better Be Home Soon), concluding with Crowded House playing an awesome version of Distant Sun

Much missed is the very talented Paul Hester! For me the best music came from Paul Hester, Neil Finn, Nick Seymour and later Mark Hart. The chemistry between them was magical and undeniable.

Neil Finn is my fave songwriter. I am a Californian, but I love, love, love anything he creates. Oh, and Split Enz and Crowded House are awesome, too!

Clearly, I grew up in the wrong country. I've been a Crowded House fan since I was 15, but I had no idea how big they were in Australia until I was much older. Most Americans can't even name a second song by them. Many confuse them with some other 80's "new wave" band or other (ikr? not even close). The first time I saw them in concert was in a small dive bar venue in Portland. It was standing room only for the minors, and my friends and I easily found a spot right in front of the stage. I remember Paul giving us all zany high-fives before exiting at the end of the show. Despite growing up poor in rural Oregon, I've managed to see them in concert 4 times. ❤

Very true! Nah these 'Encore' concerts are just a one-off. Crowded House is officially on hiatus after these gigs, and I can't see anything happening for a long time. Neil has a couple of solo projects in the works though.

She's definitely awesome. I was lucky enough to see her live back in 2005 when she was the support act for the Finn Brothers. Pretty sure they played Fall at Your Feet that night too!

Crowded house are the ultimate "Anzac" band, Aussie's and Kiwi's coming together to do something. But as I'm an Aussie I'm perfectly willing to admit Neil Finn, the Kiwi, is the heart of the band.

If a drunk woman bumped into you as she plowed her way through the crowd at the farewell concert at the Sydney Opera House in '96, that was me. I've always wanted to say sorry. So sorry. I blame the mountains of gin I had consumed across the Quay at the Orient Hotel in The Rocks only hours before.
What I use to love about Crowded House & for that matter Split Enz is they never just played songs a la the albums - every time you saw them they mixed it up, you'd hear a different version, wonderful stuff!

An Australian, a New Zealander and two Americans walk into a bar in London, the bartender looks at them and says over the din of a packed room "We seem to have a bit of a crowded house this evening due to the live music that's on tonight, what can I do for you gentleman?!". In turn they each request their respective choice of drink being two beers and a couple of bourbons, he is surprised and confused after hearing their mix of foreign accents and rhetorts after pouring them; "Whose paying for this?!", the Kiwi looks to his Aussie and yank friends then back to the bartender and replies with the question "Shouldn't they be on the house?" The bartender says "I say, is this a joke? Who do you lot think you are?" at which the Aussie of the group replies "We're the band mate"...

The first time I saw crowded house I was 21 so sweet and so young. I should of been seeing twice in 2020 but due to covid - 19 it's been postponed until 2021 so now I will be seeing them when I'm the big 50. Older but never wiser lol but still loving crowded house missing Paul and always will miss Paul and love crowded house in all its forms ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I've already chastised someone about comparing and beatles, please they were the 60s version of a manufactured product, crowded house are unique and longevity is their legacy, simplicity and quality better than bitter and dead, these guys are my memory box. Every oldie is still fresh and could be listened to over and again with no boredom, quality endures, that's my thoughts anyway, glad we have a connection, that's universal conciseness collecting the vibes that spin the world round, wow I sound like a diety, lol I'm coming back down from highground
