2024-05-12 Desperado Hare Scramble - C Senior class - 2024 AMA West Hare Scramble Rd.3

I participated to this AMA West Hare Scramble round 3, with Tyler, Noah, Keanu, Jake and Brennon.
This race was almost the opposite of the previous round, dry, dusty, a lot of rocks and sand.
I'm happy with the results, ended up 6th out of 9 in my class and 67th overall, with a couple of minor crashes only.
A big area of improvement is how to pass, a lot of times I was behind people feeling unable to pass, even if the course was relatively wide.
I could only record lap 1, in the second lap I did better, 3 minutes less.

Looks like it was some good conditions. I didn’t get a chance to make it over there for the race.

Nice ride! We were on the same line N557s on the KTM. I got an absolute shit start and was dead last. Locked into a grove and chased the guy on the Yamaha (minute 16:15 on the vid) for probably 10 miles but just didn’t have the pace for him so I backed off and settled in. Finished 4th and got an AC separation for a trophy! See y a at the next one.

well done! The fun part: once I saw you had the "S" on your helmet I was like "dang I should have made them work for it!" 😀but well, I was simply in survival mode on lap 1, I did slightly better on lap 2, was able to make a few passes, but only one was in our class. Def happy not to have made a 3rd lap! :-D Next one will be Washougal for me, I'm doing only the OMRA races this year...
