I haven’t played MapleStory in like 5/6 years. Last time I played I had a 161 NL. I want to get back into it. I lost my brother a few years ago. I think he played a Dragon knight? Spearman class? Is that any good(want to create one in memory of him)? Also you mentioned the word funded quite a bit. How much would it take to create a character and “fund” it?
That's sweet of you! Dragon knight aka Dark Knight uses spears yes. DKs are known for their passive final pact, allows them to survive an attack that would've killed you but makes you invincible for a really long duration which basically ignores a lot of boss mechanics. They're fairly simple to play. You can job change between the 3 explorer warriors DK/Hero/Paladin whenever you want too! (provided you pay mesos/job coin for the swap) For funding personally I like to get my chars strong enough to do weekly bosses for money. Starting out it's pretty hard to be this funded. There's a lot of factors like legion/links that aren't related to farming money but having other characters that would help boost your character's damage. Overall it will take time to build your account especially if you're starting fresh. I would recommend reboot world if you want a simplified F2P experience, aka farm then upgrade no market nor pay2win.
Demon slayer teleport was nerf they added a 0.4 sec cooldown so you can't macro or combine it anymore and it should bring you to the nearest living monster when used...back in the day you could just hold down 1 button and teleport all over the map while using concussion at the same time...it was to unfair I literally beat a hacker once at ks-ing
Luminous can only jump flash during it’s eclipse mode. if it could just jump TP it would be broken. (tip, take the teleport skill in your beginner tab and put it on a macro in front of reflection) that adds some mobility but is very situational.
The only one on the list I kinda agree on is demon slayer the rest like wtf like every new character is way more broken then all these old classes and not to mention paladin the strongest tank is the game and not even on the list
far from dead lol don't use steam charts to determine player base. i dont play from steam and many others don't as well. And you have to play GMS Reboot server. that's where everyone is. Even a random channel like 24 is packed in henesy and leafre
