    I just bought a brand new one listed at 8995$ cad. Wasn't sure about the brown color at first, but this bike looks wayyyy better in person than it does on photos. I've never seen one on the road yet. It's definitely a unique motorcycle!

    Delkevic make an exaust system for it. No intake/ fuel mods required. 8 or 9 HP increase. Sounds great.

    I’ve had my kawi for 2 months (600 miles).
    This is my 4th bike; and you summarized this bike perfectly. Especially with the sports bike comparison.

      Was looking at the z900. At that compression/hp, I’d much rather do a scrambler or sports touring.
      The w800 is the only Japanese bike in the US that really sticks to the aesthetic.

    Congrats on the ride and your first big bike too. My 1st 2 bikes were Kawasakis. I still lean Kawa. They have great engines and the legendary Japanese over engineering. The w 800 is a beautiful bike. I really don't like brown, especially for a bike, but the lines and proportioning are so perfect that even brown coloring can hide it. But I wish they used the colors they did on the standard model. Kawa also really did a great job on the fit and finish. It really looks and feels premium. Enjoy.

      Thank you. I agree about the brown, it's not my first choice, but the fuel tank "brown" if you will is such a nice metallic shade that it fits the bike perfectly. As for the rest of the bike, I am currently having the silver side covers painted black, and I may swap the seat to all black like the 2020 models.

      The W800 is capable of well over 60HP, but they tuned it down to 47 and reduced the compression ratio to 8.4:1. That alone should make the engine last forever with minimal maintenance.

    One of most overlooked bikes. Looks awesome. Lot better without the fairing. Very unique sounding motor, I think its the firing order of 360 and bevel drive combo gives it that sound. Aftermarket exhaust though will make it sound a lot more alive. It has a great note to it but is just needs a tad more volume to have perfect sound.

    The dealer that I bought mine from had at least 20 liter bikes that nobody was looking at. People don’t want street rockets any longer. This is the way.

    Nice bike. I test rode the Classic W800 on Kawasaki Demo Ride. I really liked it. I'm looking to get either the W800 or Moto Guzzi V7 Special.

    I just bought a brand new one, and paid $6,500. Great bike. The fit and finish is just as good as my old street bob for almost half the price.

    I love mine . I have had it for almost one year now and it seems bulletproof. I really like the look w/o the bikini fairing, the tires will be replaced with some radial tires when the dunlops wear out. I rode the royal enfield 650 twins and they are quite similar but I went for the Japanese quality and reputation. Good Luck with it !

      Is the cafe tuned different or is it aesthetic? (I have the regular).
      Non the lesss it’s Great bike. It’s not a sport track bike.
      Nobody has it.
      It’s a mountain racer with high torque at low rpm.

      Engines are identical, purely aesthetic.

    So cool bike! Your filming is perfect, that shoving whole bike in a right angle. Looking also good without bikini fairing.

    Great video! I was looking everywhere for images of the bike without the fairing and your video is perfect!
    Definitely convinced now that this will be my next bike and fist thing to go it's going to be the bikini fairing :-)
    Cheers!

    Hi they have these on crazy clearance by my house(2020 Cafe for $5,499 new/warranty). I was wondering how you like it after a year and how tall are you and do the bars bother you? Thanks

    • @defaultdaniel
      @defaultdaniel  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes they’re cheap now bc there wasn’t a huge market for them. I’m 6 ft and it’s been great so far. The bars give it a sporty feeling but if I ride for a while, 30+ min, my wrists can begin to ache.

    • @alexpascal5403
      @alexpascal5403 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      BROOO. I paid way more (different market.)
      Grab the bike and flip it here in CA.

      @@alexpascal5403 man sorry to hear that. They had 6 of them in June still and sold the last one last month. I love the look and style but when I sat on it I new the bars wouldn't work and decided not to get even though i shouldve just changed bars and cables if necessary.
      Now the brand new 2022(not the awesome cafe though) are at $6,499 so I probably will be heading back soon if they drop price under $6. I hope you're enjoying yours!

    Best thing you can do for that bike is take those tires off and install them in the garbage go with kenda retro or cont GO! You ‘ll have a different motorcycle
