If you want to join my discord server, go to community posts! There are kpop dance channels as well as other kpop/dance/music related channels. I'm more active there at the moment This video was originally made in May, when Seunghan wasn't officially out of the group (therefore I included him). Currently he is said to get a solo debut in SM, so we will hopefully see more dance content from him as well.
glad to see a new analysis from you not surprised at the ranking cuz of your previous riize short (other thank seunghan who i didn't know where he would be) hope the industry/companies stop destroying artists' bodies like you mentioned during wonbin's segment it's definitely not worth it
some wonbin comments: - i wonder if dancing with shotaro has influenced wonbin's movement even subconsciously? i agree with you, wonbin definitely seems to have that upbeat bounciness that shotaro has, and the members have said that shotaro is their defacto dance coach. on top of that wonbin probably gets even more solo time with him since at the moment they are definitely positioned as riize's top dancers. I'm very curious to see how wonbin will grow - glad to know I'm not crazy!! wonbin's movement definitely looks... off at times to me. it reminds my (fairly uneducated) eye of a much less extreme version of hueningkai. he projects a lot of power while somehow not seeming very strong or stable. i find this really evident in the siren and especially impossible choreos. he is also, like you mentioned, way more tired than one feels he should be at the end. it makes me worry about his health a good bit. hopefully he can build strength and good habits in time, especially under shotaro
Thank you for including Seunghan and thank you for the video. I basically agree on everything. I think Seunghan and Wonbin are pretty close but yeah the latter is a bit higher. I wonder if Seunghan participated to all comebacks we would see improvement, especially on footwork with the house lessons. But we'll never know. Shotaro is really a magnificent dancer, I loved his AOTM. Question: do you still consider him third in 4th gen male dancer ranking or did it change?
Might just be a me thing, but I wish RIIZE did locking. Them cover Rising Sun sparked this interest, since that song has some amazing Corel that utilizes locking
I would like to add something about Anton. Anton has really flat feet and I think this somewhat contributes to his poor weight shifts. I saw somewhere that he has to wear supportive insoles in his shoes and that his feet hurt often from dancing. It is also why he can't run well either.
Great video and analysis as always! You're great at pointing out the features of members' dancing that I can feel but not quite realise until you put it into words. Big agree on the injury prevention point too. It's concerning how often idols get bad, sometimes long-term injuries because the right precautions aren't being taken with choreo and training. Do you think you'll do a short on SKZ Walkin On Water? I'm curious about your thoughts since the choreo is done by WeDemBoyz, and very hip hop focused!
First I had same opinion and ranking but lately Eunseok is improving in dancing i guess Sohee Sungchan and Eunseok are on same level for me it depends on the which day and type of dance they prefer they put more effort in....
There should be a certain resistance and engagement in the core area, like looking stable and not collapsed. It's a bit tricky with groovy dancers, so instead you could look at someone like Momo from Twice first
@facts in fiction do you have any recommendations to improve dance foundations. Everyone I meet says ‘take more lessons’ but I feel practice doesn’t make perfect instead it makes permanent. Personally I suffer the most with 1.timing issues 2.lack of power (probably should workout more) 3.footwork Thank you so much for your videos,I think I’m getting better dance literacy.
Could you please put in the future the choreos videos in mirror plz like on your editing app you select all the choreos videos altogether and u mirror them
It can have different reasons why dancers lacking power: - dancing small so that you don't have enough space for "power" movement - timing issues because if you rush towards the next movement you loose the power and the movement looks sloppy/rushed; the movement is usually not extended enough (like arm, foot) - focus issue; with dancing and singing this can happen - choreography isn't rehearsed enough - balance issue (mostly core issues!) Powerful dance has nothing to do with popping or sharp dance moves - it's more about "accentuate" the dance movement for a specific time to "emphase" the lyrics. Dancing has a lot to do with "tension" and "relaxing" (think of a muscle). And if you are a good dancer you can switch whenever the song and dance need that.
To add on, technique wise it's about relaxing and tensing in the right moment, Being tense all throughout creates a textured movement that isn't powerful, instead it's a very fine balance of relaxing and then tensing while having some sort of swinging motion and (for arm movement) back support. It's difficult to explain in words.
new facts in fiction just dropped 🗣️🔥🔥 (thank you for making this video ot7. i know you did it more for a practical reason than anything, but it's still nice to see that seunghan is not forgotten)

I haven't actively paid attention to them recently, so I would say it hasn't changed. How would you rank the top 3?
@facts_in_fiction I would rank both Harry and Shotaro at 1, I can't put one over the other, and Jaemin 2nd
thank you for including our seven!! great video like always
Might just be a me thing, but I wish RIIZE did locking. Them cover Rising Sun sparked this interest, since that song has some amazing Corel that utilizes locking

Can you analyse NCT WISH (OT6) 💚 please? 🙏
Thank you!
Hi thank you for making this video. Looking forward to more of your dance ranking videos for the other groups that debuted last year and this year!👍

May I request an updated Enhypen dance analysis

I love your videos and dancing so much but what does it take to go to Shotaro's level? Do you have any tips and how he to get to his level?
How can you tell when someone has a weak core? I've heard about this a lot but can't seem to visually recognize the difference

Can you do &team :(
Please?
can you analysis hyoyeon, momo and lisa dance and rank them?
What's the name of the background song at 6:27?
Do 5th gen boy group dance ranking please
Could you please put in the future the choreos videos in mirror plz like on your editing app you select all the choreos videos altogether and u mirror them
@kpop5gen why
@@facts_in_fiction Because a lot of people that learn kpop dances learned it in mirror I guess
Well it's my case !
i thoughts you would only post it on patron??
what do you mean when you say dancers lack ‘power’? and how can you learn to execute moves with enough ‘power’?
It can have different reasons why dancers lacking power:
- dancing small so that you don't have enough space for "power" movement
- timing issues because if you rush towards the next movement you loose the power and the movement looks sloppy/rushed; the movement is usually not extended enough (like arm, foot)
- focus issue; with dancing and singing this can happen

I don't see the pinned comment you talk about in the intro

Great video , but i'm waiting for the answer almost a year who is overal better shotaro or ten 😊
Well I prefer Ten, I'm not sure overall
I would say in sm it would go li
1.ten/jisung
2.shotaro
3.hoya
5.teamin
Would you agree with me ? @@facts_in_fiction
@dan-c3l in SM? But Hoya wasn't in SM
@@facts_in_fiction my mistake, 1.ten/jisung
2.shotaro
3.taemin
4.eunhyuk
5.kai ?
@@dan-c3l maybe key over kai and I'm not sure if shotaro is worse than ten and jisung
