I appreciate you showing the struggle of planting with a tank full of water. I see other videos where it JUST WORKS first try, and it makes me so mad lol. My favorite is when you struggle to get one planted and you try and put another one kinda close, and then they both come up 😡 Sorry about your snail dude. Does clove oil work for snails? Easy sub, Im starting a 5g Walstad shrimp bowl in a couple weeks so your progress videos will be just a bit ahead so I can know what to look forward to =]
I like planting them with some water, so I can adjust them if they float. I tried once to plant them without water, but I didn't enjoy it. Some people recommend crushing the snails when they're like this, and clove oil definitely works too, I used baking soda as an alternative. Thank you for your support and thoughts. From now on, videos will take longer to make, but there's still plenty to watch and discuss
Brandenburg Concerto No. 4 by Bach. Delightful. The other music was good too. Super video altogether - I love this tank. Is the Bach played by a real orch or is it a digital mock-up, if you don't mind my asking?
I wasn't aware that could be a possibility! I have them in almost all my aquariums, and I haven't noticed any significant issues so far. I’ll be sure to keep an eye on them from now on.
There is no food for the Daphnia to feed on. The plants are assimilating the nutrients that suspended algae need to adsorb to grow. The filter is agitating the water too much and removing what few suspended algal cells there might be, so the Daphnia are starving. Therefore, your tank conditions are not suitable for filter feeders. One must also bear in mind that Daphnia are the natural food of myriads of freshwater fish species. The first juvenile stages are ideal food for small fishes.
I feed them sometimes, I guess not that much, I saw that the sponge had too much air going, so I decreased the air intake a few hoping they could handle it. I will try again in a future set up taking this into consideration all of this, like I said it was the first time I added daphnia to be part of an aquarium .

Good tanks, good videos, if you want any marbled crayfish or baby longfin super red bristlenose pleckos I’d be more than happy to send them to you.
Thank you so much for the offer! I really appreciate it, but I’m not looking to get any new fish at the moment.

Thank you for your support! I use music from TH-cam, but I'm not sure if it’s from a real orchestra or not.
Either way, I like it.
Aren't Egeria and Ceratophyllum incompatible in the long run?
