This is a great film, although brief. Still, it covers much behind the scenes concerning agricultural workers as well as how one key strike formed in 1965. Going all the way back to the late 1960's in both print and video this became a customary declaration; "Cesar Chavez started the farm worker movement." or some variation there of. As a result, Filipino's, Egyptians, Black, groups were relegated to past that does not consider, much less, reflect on them.
    Thank you for this film.

Although I agree that Ceasar Chavez led and continued the fight for the United farm workers in the early 70’s after Larry Itliongs passing, Larry is actually the one that initiated the Delano strike. Both Chavez and Larry were Union leaders of their own respected Unions. Had Larry not contacted Chavez to join him in the fight to strike there may not have been a strong movement against the ranchers and farmers. Both my dad and I were part of the United Farm Workers movement and followed and supported Ceasar Chavez. I only wish I could have met Larry Itliong but he was before my time.
