I'm enjoying the real not staged look. Makes it so much more authentic. Seeing Raya cooking is seriously beginning to be my favorite part of vlogmas. Brussel sprouts isn't something I tried till I was probably 30. I love them but the other half not so much.

It’s a different busy, but busy all the same. I look back and miss parts of the baby/toddler season. I dread the day the last moves and a quietness comes over the home.
We used to do that gift thing at work where you pick one, then the next person can pick your gift or something else in the pile, etc.. It was fun! Neo really rocked the fashion runway!!
1-2 kids is the HARDEST transition. I had to exactly 2 years apart. I do not remember that 5 year span. 2-3 was no harder honestly, now 4 years was between #3 & the first one. My Grandparents were from Ireland and my Grandma cooked fresh food from scratch. Lots of veg at holiday meals but no Brussels sprouts. Didn’t learn how to cook them until I was in my 20’s. We had turnip and rutabaga, pickled beats and onions in addition to the regular American holiday fare- corn, green beans, salad.
I have my heart in my mouth when Neo's dangling around the stove top. He loves seeing what you're doing and it's great that they see cooking etc going on. I used to put nine in a door bouncer while I was cooking so they were away from the cooker but occupied and watching me. Sprouts are great, a key part of Christmas Dinner.
Loving vlogmas.. when you guys were enjoying the Brighton lights and had the instrumental music in the background you literally had me tearing up! I'm one of the OG Fun for Louis viewers and seeing where you guys are now! It's amazing!
I’m catching up on your vlogmas episodes during my Christmas vacay. I’m in Newfoundland and Labrador Canada and no Brussel sprouts are not a big thing here. We enjoy jiggs dinner (Newfoundland staple meal lol) with cabbage and turnip and carrot alongside salt meat and turkey at Christmas time however a traditional jiggs dinner would only have salt meat as the meat. Enjoying your vlogmas episodes and reflecting on all the craziness I too went though leading up to Christmas!! In this episode I particularly enjoyed Rayna showing what real life looks like in the kitchen rather then it being staged as you said is usually the norm and WOW..thanks for taking us around the Brighton lights and allowing us to virtually experience it!! All the best for 2024.
This is by far my favorite vlogmas vlog you guys have done. My favorite part was probably the fashion show. The music put it over the top. The light show was absolutely spectacular. I think it makes everybody want to move to Brighton.
My kitchen is a mess whilst cooking. You must focus on the cooking! 👩🍳 Neo is such a happy baby! ❤ Also, the Christmas garden market was wonderful! I lived the lady singing! Beautiful! I’m watching this late so Happy New Year! 🎊
I'm from Australia [Adelaide to be exact] so Xmas here is a *lot* different to the northern hemisphere. A lot of people here do a traditional lunch - [turkey, etc] but just as many don't and opt for a festive BBQ [that would be us lol]. As for Brussel Sprouts - *egads and gadzooks NO* - not on any day [sorry Louis lol] I used to try and palm them off to our dog under the dining room table on Sundays [we always had a lamb roast] and even he [who would eat literally anything] drew the line at a sprout with a very defiant *no* lmao And you guys are such a glorious breath of fresh air - love your vlogs - keeping it real, so refreshing - MERRY XMAS to you all xxx
In Texas NO brussels sprouts for Christmas. But I do like them roasted. Raya, you and my daughter both announced your pregnancies just a few weeks apart. My daughter lives 5 hours away so in a way I get to see my grandson grow through watching Leo go through his different stages. Love to all and Merry Christmas.
This is my first year completley cut off from my family and going through a breakup. Watching your vlogmas I feel like I still get to celebrate vicariously, thank you guys for all the effort you're putting into this series. I really appreciate each one❤
Love to see how involved Louis is with Neo. Their bond will be strong. Neo is so cute feeding himself and the expression on his adorable face. Can't wait to see him walking. Happy Holidays to your family. 😮 😢🎉
Neo is such a great baby it’s awesome you give him all these sensory experiences and the Brighton Lights looked amazing! You guys are such amazing parents I can almost feel love ❤❤
Loved this video sooo much, when the lady was singing and the two of you kissed, I almost cried, just because it was such a touching moment Don't worry everything is gonna be alright! You two are absolutely wonderful and are WINNING at parenthood! ❤
I am enjoying vlogmas even if burning the Brussels looked stagged. My son is now 26 and this series brings me back to his ‘97 first Christmas. Louis is by far the best hands on father I have had the pleasure to witness. Perhaps don’t be so hard on him Raya with his less stress is best approach.
Brussel sprouts 👍🏻 We are from the US. Neither of us grew up with having them at Christmas and I really didn't like the way my mom fixed them but I roast them sometimes with basalmic glaze and they are 😋 and we do have them at Christmas often now. Our kids love them as well. Loving vlogmas and commend you 2 for doing it. I'm in awe really! Merry Christmas!
Love guys and hate to put my 2 cents in buttttttt my sisters baby has a scar on her hand 14 years late from touching a hot pan while in the baby carrier while she was cooking. Not saying you weren’t cautious but it only takes a second and they move so fast make it less stressful for yourself by sitting him in a chair or something to watch you from a safer distance. Love love love you please don’t take this as criticism just friendly advice love love love love you all so much ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
The look of wonder on Neo’s face as you explored the Christmas light installations was beyond precious! What an enchanting evening! With regard to Brussel sprouts… they are a common vegetable in North Carolina, USA, but not the most popular for the holidays. You might enjoy drizzling them with a honey and balsamic vinegar mixture after roasting to bump up the volume a bit. 🤗
Wow! How cool is Brighton Lights! What an awesome interacive experience for adults and kids! And the food, and the music, and the shopping they had there! You guys are just bringing Neo to so many cool places! And you may not feel like he is old enough to truly appreciate any of it, but he is definitely getting something out of it, so keep doing what you are doing!😃
I would say here in our area of the US (Illinois) Brussels sprouts are not "the norm", but they are usually on menus at most restaurants in some form or another, so they're gaining popularity. Just not part of the holiday food traditionally. Also remember, when you have multiple children, they aren't all the same age - the older ones will be more self-sufficient + they can help with gathering items to load into the car and with their younger siblings. Plus, the older they get, the easier it becomes. Thanks for the vlog!
Pancakes for babies are the best!! You can add in so many fruits and veggies. Our favorites are carrot/apple and zucchini/blueberry. I make huge batches to freeze and then just pop one in the microwave in the mornings for quick breakfasts.
Yes. We do Brussel Sprouts....boil 1st while sauteing onions and garlic in EVOO then add the sprouts to brown a bit just before the onions are done....Delicious 🙌
Hated brussle sprouts as a child (too bitter) but now I really love them and they belong to our vegan German Christmas dinner. Love all your videos. Neo is so precious! All three of you radiate happiness 😊
Loved this video. The light show was amazing. I am from Canada and brussel spouts are not eaten at Christmas. We have other sides including turnip/carrot mash up, mashed potatoes, candied sweet potatoes and mixed vegetables. Thank you both for doing this Vlog. It looks exhausting to do but your viewers really do appreciate them. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.
Best ending yet! Lol I’m so loving these everyday! My hubby and I feel so spoiled to be getting so much Raya and Louis for a month! Lol your rest will be even MORE deserved than normal after this! And so, alas, we get that it won’t be daily come January, but hope we still get to see you guys more! Again! Spoiled! Lol. BUT we are here for it all! No matter how long your rest breaks are, we’ve been here for years and shall remain! Thank you for your hard work and for sharing your beautiful family growth and memories with us, always! Happy Christmas guys!
🤩 Raya, You are soo BEAUTIFUL, 😍 Neo is just ADORABLE, 😎 Louis the epitome of Chill, and in unison, ❤️ you all are such a sweet family 🫶 🎄 Merry Christmas to you all, and 🥳 🎆 the most Blessed New Year 🫂✌️👋
I love the vlogmas you all are getting me in the Christmas spirit 🎄. I know your wore out though from daily vlogs wanting to let you know your much appreciated and loved 🥰
Louisiana, USA - LOVE Brussel sprouts!! But only when roasted in the over. I always cut mine in half. They get crispier that way. And I drizzle with olive oil- then lightly season with a garlic and onion powder and tiny amount of crushed pepper flakes. Roast until lightly browned and delicious. ❤
I like them sprayed mixed with olive oil, minced garlic, onion powder, red chili pepper, salt and pepper and in the air fryer. Or whatever other spices you like. I do that with broccoli too. Yummy soooo good.
What a magical vlog. Thank you for sharing! Watching Neo, looking in wonder at the lights, just makes my soul smile. I'm in Portland, OR, and no - we don't eat Brussel sprouts for Christmas. But they- with roasted potatoes are one of my favorite dinners!
Neo is such a happy and alert baby! He is starting to have a real personality! Can’t wait to see him start walking! What a great time was had by you guys! Well done!
So much fun for all of you with the various Christmas activities. Loved the strategic decision made by Louis about getting a mug to keep. Good job! Little neo is so precious and is so animated.
You would love the illuminate festival in Adelaide, Australia - we have lots of lights like these and the sounds in our botanic gardens in our winter time for a month.
I love Brussel sprouts! It wasn't a part of the holiday tradition, but I love to make them for me and my dad as he loves them too! All that drool is good evidence that Neo is teething! Y'all are the only ones I have found doing 'real' vlogmas i.e. vlogging one day and uploading the next, we are all here for it! Especially the messy kitchen and feeding Neo! There is a greatness to your lateness (that is our family moto)!
Best part is watching the children open the presents that’s my favorite part. I love when they open the present and then play with the box it’s awesome.
Best vlogmas so far! If you pause at 19:05 your heart will melt, so happy for you guys, you are truly blessed. Really hope you make more regular vlogs in the new year🤞🤞🤞
Hi Raya and Louis, professional chef here. As a future tip, brussels sprouts can actually handle a lot of char and caramelization on the outer layer. The inside will still be tender, but the outside has an addictive crispiness and smoky taste. Our favorite way to cook brussels sprouts is to halve and coat in a generous amount of olive oil and salt, black pepper and red pepper flakes (leave the outer leaves that fall off on the tray) and roast at 450 for like 15-25 minutes depending on size and quantity. Don't be afraid of the outer leaf blackening! I promise there is so much flavor and texture. After roasting toss with chopped vegan bacon, toasted pecans and diced apple along with reduced balsamic and vegan parmesan. Happy holidays. Neo seems really curious and lovable.
@@RayaandLouis No problem!! I make these every year at the holidays and my whole family is obsessed with them. FYI you can buy premade balsamic reduction at most grocery stores in the US and the UK (at least I remember buying it when I was there for a summer). Look in the Italian aisle maybe. It’s perfect on a lot of stuff like tomatoes or toast or tofu. But also you could totally sub maple syrup or agave for it, but maybe also add a bit of acid like a lemon or vinegar to round it out. Peace!!
I’m British from Watford but live in Texas, and just about every restaurant in Houston serves Brussels sprouts as an appetizer and they all do them a different way
This is my advent calendar this year. Love the vlogmas series and it gets me into the Christmas spirits! I know its hard work, specially with a baby, but I do really hope this becomes a tradition, and hopefully if you choose to do this next year, it will be easier with Neo, since hes then 1 year older :) We eat those sprouts during Christmas here in Norway too!
Neo was drooling like a leaky faucet looking at the lighted foxes. Another sign of teething! 😊 I'm from Seattle. Brussel Sprouts were never a part of our holiday fare. We rarely had them for every day eating, but they were always boiled and very bitter. I grew up long before anyone ever dreamed of roasting veggies. I will now eat them roasted along side some root veggies but hate to admit butter and make syrup are part of the equation.
I look forward to the vlogmas uploads each night! Love them and so appreciative as a family of your effort to put out such real, loving, warm content ❤ Sending good vibes your way x
This vlog was incredibly healing for me. I have been going through a very challenging time and your video truly made my soul feel better. Thank you so much Raya, Louis and Neo!
USA - never heard of Brussels Sprouts until I left home and never saw them at other people's holiday meals either. It was basically green beans for the holidays.
Im from Rhode Island and I don’t remember Brussels sprouts during my childhood and definitely not for Christmas but I LOVE them now and my nieces serve it at different holidays.
I’m from Scotland and they are a big part of Christmas dinner (which is handy because I love them). Very much enjoying your vlogs, they are so festive! Ps. I cook my sprouts sometimes in a pan with some vegan butter and garlic until they are charred a bit. So delicious!
hahaha Neo’s fashion show was so cute and perfect 😄 I saw that Christmas tree pastry on the Greatest British Baking Show and I was like 🙀 gotta make it one day! Looks so nice
❤❤❤ that was amazing and I bet it's even better in person. It sure kept Neo's attention. Good night get some rest and am already looking forward to tomorrow's vlogmas
Roasted brussel sprouts are an absolute yes for Thanksgiving and Christmas and I'm in the US (San Diego, specifically) - seasoned with salt & pepper, a sprinkling of vegan parmesan, and a drizzle of balsamic glaze.
So happy Neo was well rested so he could enjoy himself at Brighton Lights and withstand getting to bed later than usual. I see he must have been napping during the group shot at the Secret Santa party, but at least he was awake for that adorable moon picture of the three of you at Brighton Lights.
Brussel Sprouts YES and we usually eat them at Christmas much like how Louie made them with oil & spices and also dried cranberries sprinkled over them... I'm born & raised in Tennessee, my dad is German tho, so I'm not sure if this was his sides tradition or my moms
Fiiinaaallyyy - I‘ve been waiting up to watch how your day went! 😂 Thank you for letting us be part of your day to day real life journey towards Christmas this year 🙏🏼🤗❤️
Yes to Brussel sprouts. I am from Canada but my mother was British. Visiting family in the UK and just discovered my SIL did not know sprouts grew on. stalks. I grew them when my children were quite young so their memory of where sprouts came was sketchy.
Brussels sprouts,, I cut them in half and cook with olive oil and salt in oven. About five minutes before they are done, lightly add a little maple syrup. It’s amazing. 🎄🎄
Hi guys!! I’m from Canada and we have NEVER included Brussels sprouts in our traditional Christmas dinner. My favourite part of the dinner is the stuffing!
Metro St. Louis/Southwestern Illinois here and yes Brussel Sprouts are in my house any day of the year. I have made braised sprouts and Maple Soy Brussel Sprouts and Butternut Squash for the holidays.
Brussels sprouts-yes and yes! But, they only became part of the Christmas dinner in my 20s around twenty years ago. My dad hated them so we rarely had them growing up.
Love Brussel Sprouts .. we in NZ ..we do have a lot of Salads at Xmas dinner at lunch even though there is an option of Hot dinner at lunch and/ or in the evening also ... for our family ... Depending a lot on the weather ..
Brussel Sprouts . . . YES!! At least once every 2 weeks. Roast in the oven at 400F, and cut in half with olive oil and vegetable seasoning. Cook them until crispy . . .Mmmmm. Just doesn't smell nice in the house when cooking. For Christmas, we omit the vegetable seasoning and add cranberries topped with toasted pinenuts and almond slivers.
I'm enjoying the real not staged look. Makes it so much more authentic. Seeing Raya cooking is seriously beginning to be my favorite part of vlogmas. Brussel sprouts isn't something I tried till I was probably 30. I love them but the other half not so much.
Loving the realness... The authenticity... That's why we're all here! 🙏💖
Thank you! ❤️
18:46 the lady singing made me cry for some reason, her voice is amazing! Also Neo saying YAY makes my heart complete!
Watching Neo enjoy the lights and hearing the mothers speaking really spoke to my inner child.
If you go into having kids with the Perspective of never having time to yourself at least for 2 years, when you go from 1-2 kids, especially if they are 2 years or under apart. Remember, the exhaustion of the baby/toddler season is temporary. I started young at 18.
Now, at 41, I have a 23, 21, 15, 10 year old all boys. Yes it’s busy and we are go go go.
Number 4, was 12 years difference from my oldest. 5 years difference from #3.
Out of all transitions 1 kid to 2 kids was the most brutal, because you literally have no down time. If one’s napping, the other is up still needing whatever they need. It’s just constant
Love how Neo look so curious 😂❤ his serious look, so much to see in this world, so much to learn. 🥹❤️hes such a cutie pie!
From England heheh and yessss Brussel sprouts are a must, even better with Butter and chestnuts fried! Yummy heheh
I’m really enjoying this series and how chill you both are. Much prefer the less staged version of your life!
Me too ! not ideal what if something hot was to splash into his face !
Honestly, I do love the "mess". Its just real life, and to me, you two = real life. I feel comfortable here
Loving vlogmas.. when you guys were enjoying the Brighton lights and had the instrumental music in the background you literally had me tearing up! I'm one of the OG Fun for Louis viewers and seeing where you guys are now! It's amazing!
I’m catching up on your vlogmas episodes during my Christmas vacay. I’m in Newfoundland and Labrador Canada and no Brussel sprouts are not a big thing here. From Scotland, sprouts are definitely a tradition here. And I love them…. Just waiting on some cooking, so they are not just for Christmas dinner!
This was so far my favourite day of vlogmas! This video will is so special for you, Raya and Neo to look back on.

Raya’s “we’re done” at the end 😂. As a fellow mom of a 7 month old she’s just so relatable 😂
Canada and yes we eat Brussels sprouts at Christmas and Thanksgivings. Love them 👍 when they’re done well. They can be bitter when done poorly.
Brussels sprouts are a staple at our Christmases in Canada! Although I did hate them as a kid, I now love them so much.

I love the little "yaay" Neo gave when Louis let him have the chocholate wrapper! 😂 So
cute!
Love to see how involved Louis is with Neo. Their bond will be strong. Neo is so cute feeding himself and the expression on his adorable face. Can't wait to see him walking. Happy Holidays to your family. 😮

I think having a baby was your best life adventure!! You two are perfect with little Neo ..you're all so lucky x
You have so many cool things to do there! Fantastic Neo experiencing all this! Get some sleep and rest guys!
personally, I like Brussel sprouts. The editing at the xmas lights was so wholesome, I had a tear in my eye. Such a beautiful family

I'm from Seattle.
Age 3. My daughter is sooooooo excited this year about lights and the magic of Christmas! 26:57
This vlog was incredibly healing for me. I have been going through a very challenging time and your video truly made my soul feel better. Thank you so much Raya, Louis and Neo!
Thank you so so much! I’m sorry you’ve been going through a tough time ❤️
Being binge watching your vlogs and it feels so good to finally catch up with the latest episode🎉❤
Not big on Brussel sprouts. I’m in Tennessee. Cabbage, collard greens or green beans are the holiday greens we have.
❤❤❤ that was amazing and I bet it's even better in person. It sure kept Neo's attention. Good night get some rest and am already looking forward to tomorrow's vlogmas
Roasted brussel sprouts are an absolute yes for Thanksgiving and Christmas and I'm in the US (San Diego, specifically) - seasoned with salt & pepper, a sprinkling of vegan parmesan, and a drizzle of balsamic glaze.
wow sounds amazing ☺
Hi guys!! I love your vlogs so much and the fact that you're doing Vlogmas has made a rough few weeks for me a lot better.
I am loving this series you are doing. You are a lovely family. Thank you for sharing.
😂 Thank you for letting us be part of your day to day real life journey towards Christmas this year 🙏🏼🤗❤️
I know! I've literally been going on TH-cam every 30 min all day in anticipation of this video! It did not dissapoint.
Ahh thank you so much! Sorry it was a bit late today, thanks so much for your patience! ❤️
Brussel sprouts are my all time favorite! I'm from Florida and my great grandmother would make them with butter and brown sugar
Brussel sprouts are huge for the holidays in the USA!!
Ohh that sounds good!
Hi guys!! I’m from Canada and we have NEVER included Brussels sprouts in our traditional Christmas dinner. My favourite part of the dinner is the stuffing!
you can also try those bibs for eating that hold the food and closes those spaces in the chair, ill try finding them for you
Metro St. Louis/Southwestern Illinois here and yes Brussel Sprouts are in my house any day of the year. I have made braised sprouts and Maple Soy Brussel Sprouts and Butternut Squash for the holidays.
Brussel sprouts with roasted chestnuts ginger and orange juice ....they come out so crisp and delicious
I'm from Dansville, Michigan USA. We never had Brussels sprouts growing up. I've thought about making them in the oven but haven't yet.
Really loving your vlogmas videos - Neo is adorable and you are a wonderful family ❤
Arizona, USA sometimes we have them. They are good if fresh and prepared well. Green beans are popular in most homes I think
You guys are rocking Vlogmas!!
Thank you! ❤️
We started having Brussels sprouts about 5 Christmas’ ago. Ours have bacon and shallots in them. They’re a big hit!
Brussels sprouts-yes and yes! But, they only became part of the Christmas dinner in my 20s around twenty years ago. My dad hated them so we rarely had them growing up.
Love seeing how real you all are. I did fix the pancakes you showed here and they were a hit! I did add a T. Of honey though. Awesome
Why did this episode make me happy cry so much 😭😭🥰🥰
So glad vlogmas has given you permission to be real about life as parents ❤
