    Thank you for this excellent video, and especially your thoughtful overview of Phillis Wheatley's life and poetry. I really appreciated your clarity in alluding to the many forces at play that may have compelled Wheatley to refer to her kidnapping as "mercy." Also, in particular, appreciated your closing note that her work is notable not only for the circumstances of her life, but as an exceptional body of work in its own right.

    Emerson thought Whitman would become the Poet he described in his essay or at least had the most potential. And as the former addressed his new discovery in a letter used in the appendix to his second edition of LOG, I too, greet you at the beginning of a great career. I have a great joy in your channel.
