Kept coming upon threads saying one version was harder than the other(with no evidence to back claims) so I dug to come to this conclusion *Genesis version is harder* mainly because in the *Rat Race level the rats take approx 2.5 seconds to spawn (yes i timed it) in the NES version* compared to in the *Genesis version they spawn INSTANTLY making this level nearly impossible without near frame perfect movement* the NES version has a *bug* that makes it impossible to beat if youre playing 2 player mode but other than than the Genesis version is cancerously harder to beat, *there's also a Gameboy port which for some reason is named Battletoads in Ragnarok's World* which is quite a bit *easier as there are many levels missing, rat race/underwater/surf board/airplane* levels all missing and perhaps a few more might be that i missed. *Given all of this evidence I must rate their difficulty accordingly GameBoy = Hard mode; NES = Harder mode; Genesis = Masochism Mode* One last thing I've noticed is it seems to me quite a bit of the backstory is missing from the none NES versions so that's something unique it has going for it.

you must stun them instead of killing them but yes
nes version is superior, it has a full cool intro. nes music bass sounds better & the tones in the sega version sound weak & poorly blended. nes punching sound efx are better lastly the nes being only 8 bits compared to sega 16 bits Nes makes wayyy better use of it's graphics. The queen lord does look better on sega that's abt it.
NES version is like Genesis version but without bugs :v
''..Genesis does..
you cant do this on Nintendo...
Genesis... Genesis.. Genesis..
Genesis does what Nintendon't!''
Snes versionis miles ahead than both.
SNES and Sega Master versions aren't even the same game as these. Both are sequel to these games.
@@VOAN exactly, but genesis didn't need to just improve details in Nes game with its hardware. As The Snes version shows. SMS version is fair good for an 8bit console too.
When I was a kid and I first time see Battletoads on SMD I thought that console can't sound so great!
Why the fuck you said it to me?
Of course SEGA looks 8 bit better
*16 bit
WOW Famicom better sound chip
ben owen I love Sega Too
but in this Game I like the Sound Nes... bro.. :)
Genesis has better sound.
KKK... O som do mega ficou bem legal.
Deve ser preguiça da Rare sei lá ;)
both have good an bad ... thanks for the share! happy Holidays
I wonder why the comparison was cut before the turbo tunnel............... hehe
Nes version by a mile, Genesis version is mediocre except with good graphics.
Sega Genesis (Battletoads) and SNES (Battletoads in battlemaniacs) were officially both win :-)
NES wins! Music and graphics, both are best in NES
Music no
@@yop506 NES with special sound chip
lazy megadrive port.. The nes version pushed the system to it's limits!
Nes version wins!
The mega drive sounds like pure shit not much improvement over the nes there but graphics are much better and so is the controller
The music is a big improvement actually.
Only in your shithead ben owen....
+ben owen You said well, it's YOUR problem...
More people need to praise the Genesis/Mega Drive's sound chip IMO.
ben owen no shit sherlock, the nes is an older generation 8-bit console, but the snes from the same generation as the genesis is more powerfull than the genesis. Btw the music on the genesis in this game makes my right ear bleed, i prefer the nes music, more bass and charm.
my 10 year old nephew and i played the nes version first and days later i made the switch to genesis and he kept insisting me to play "the better one" so i switched back to n.e.s.
Battletoads Double dragon
( Nes Vs Sega Megadrive ) pls
