You can really see the difference in how the two tracks develop: Rick's theme builds at first as we see him go on his quest for revenge, but then essentially plateaus and then runs out of energy as we see Rick fail to find Prime and fall into depression and hopelessness. Meanwhile, Evil Morty's theme continues to build to a proper crescendo when we reach the events of Rickmurai Jack, as unlike Rick, Evil Morty actually DOES achieve the goal he worked so hard for.

Which was actually made fun of by the writers in the season 5 finale, as a callout to all the fans who thought he was actually evil just because he stood in opposition to the our Rick and Morty. There’s a difference between being a villain, and being an antagonist. If Eyepatch Morty is evil then our Rick by that logic, should be considered Satan. Which is ironic considering he outsmarted the literal Devil during season 1, which goes to show you how rotten Rick’s character is if even the actual Devil considers Rick to be a better Satan than him.
What's interesting to note about Evil Morty is while he is Evil by the standard that he y'know, kills and murders hundreds to get his way. His goals aren't explicitly evil, all he wants is just a calm life outside of the constant abuse from Rick, a life where he gets to choose his own destiny. He isn't like other Ricks who only want power over others.
Morty is actually Rick’s protégé. Rick simply keeps Morty oblivious on purpose because he knows his grandson’s potential. Evil Morty is simply what a Morty is meant to become.
