For me, Tottenham are one of my favourite clubs in England. They symbolise everything that football should be about, hardworking, desire, passion and they work together as a team. Not only that but they have two of the best future England players in Alli and Kane which is quite important and the whole ethos around the club of buy young and cheap players and developing them into super stars rather than buying 30 year old players and hoping they stay at the same level.

True, but they also got a decent amount of money from the transfers of Mason, Chadli and Bentaleb which balanced the budget. While Man U for instance spent a shittone of money on Pogba and another 30-40 mil for Mkhitaryan and getting twice less money from selling. Not only that but Pogba was pure shit in the first half of the season and so far he is definitely not proving that he is worth that much. City also spent a ridiculous amount of money on players who are performing quite average.

I personally think that the English media kept praising Spurs is because Spurs have alot of young English talents like Kyle Walker, Danny Rose , Eric Dier, Dele Ali and Harry Kane.
As a QPR fan I've always respected Tottenham (thanks for Mark Falco, btw) as fellow purveyors of exciting, passing football but...(there had to be a but)...I worry that Tottenham can be a bit flaky. In recent years managers get ejected at the early signs of trouble rather than establishing a foundation and last season not only did they lose the Premier League to Leicester, they got mugged by Arsenal at the end. Will the same thing happen with Manchester City this season and they end up 3rd? Tottenham's got the flair, has it got the grit and determination?

I must say; Spurs and Arsenal rivalry should be less intense now in comparison to Spurs and Chelsea rivalry. Due to Chelsea stealing Spurs chance of getting into Champions League in 2011-2012 (by winning Champions League, yet coming 6th in the league); then Chelsea drawing with Spurs 2-2 last season doing Leicester a favour. This year, knocking Spurs out of FA Cup and now after Spurs had one of their best seasons in the Prem League in a long long while, Chelsea still seem to be the team to take the title! I think if Chelsea do win EPL this season and Spurs form continues, Spurs and Chelsea rivalry could build to become a form of an El Classico in England in the near future:) of course, with different type of history... (Not comparing El Classico directly, but the rivalry growing to similar intensity; only if both teams continue their development)

As an outsider (leeds fan) I think it's great to see spurs' rise. A core of English talent in dier, Kane, walker, rose, alli... its only a hood thing for the national side too. I wouldn't be surprised if next season Chelsea go on to win the next title too. But Spurs will be in there too and probably (hopefully) win the FA/EFL Cup! Exciting times ahead for Spurs fans too. As a QPR fan I've always respected Tottenham (thanks for Mark Falco, btw) as fellow purveyors of exciting, passing football but...(there had to be a but)...I worry that Tottenham can be a bit flaky. In recent years managers get ejected at the early signs of trouble rather than establishing a foundation and last season not only did they lose the Premier League to Leicester, they got mugged by Arsenal at the end. Due to Chelsea stealing Spurs chance of getting into Champions League in 2011-2012 (by winning Champions League, yet coming 6th in the league); then Chelsea drawing with Spurs 2-2 last season doing Leicester a favour. This year, knocking Spurs out of FA Cup and now after Spurs had one of their best seasons in the Prem League in a long long while, Chelsea still seem to be the team to take the title! I think if Chelsea do win EPL this season and Spurs form continues, Spurs and Chelsea rivalry could build to become a form of an El Classico in England in the near future:) of course, with different type of history... (Not comparing El Classico directly, but the rivalry growing to similar intensity; only if both teams continue their development)
